Terry has Dynamic Comics #17, but it's got a torn chunk out of the first and second page that affects the Dynamic Man story. Not sure if I should get it or wait for a c2c unaffected copy.  :-/

If you want my opinion, since I seem to get you’re generally uninterested to keep the issues, I think it would be better to buy them in GVG to VG.
They’ll be more costly, but it will be easier to resell them.
Also (I’ve seen RH listings on eBay), if auctions aren’t the preferred venue, I would suggest trying the CGC Forum marketplace first. This would allow to keep the prices slightly lower, and possibly sell faster. There are a lot of nice people putting GA issues on sale, at various prices.

Thanks for the suggestions, vaillant.  :)

Well, another issue of Dynamic Comics bits the dust. Just picked up Dynamic Comics #10 and will send it to RH as soon as the issue arrives. But that will have to be my last contribution for a while.  ;)

You're very welcome, Yoc. I'm doing everything I can to try and get us a complete run of Dynamics. The cover of #10 is really cool as well and has a definite "horror" or Halloween feel to it.

The same seller also had a nice c2c copy of Dynamic Comics #2, but I'm out of cash for now.  :-[

Another issue of Dynamic soon to be crossed off the list -- Dynamic Comics #2 thanks to Rangerhouse!  :D

That just leaves issues 9 and 17 (and a complete 16). Slowly getting there....

Good point.

But I'm still hemming and hawing... it'd be so nice to get a c2c copy, and there's got to be a cheap one out there somewhere.  :-\

Thanks for the new list KB.
A completed run of Frankenstein Comics (Prize) would be at or near the top of any list from me.

Wow, I didn't realize just how many issues there were in Frankenstein Comics! He seems to be a really popular character, so I'm sure a lot of people would like to see that title completed, not to mention the rest of the issues of Prize Comics where he appears. By the way, have any of you seen the 60's Dell Comics version where he literally is a costumed superhero complete with a secret identity?

Meanwhile, RH has informed me that Dynamic Comics #17 has just been purchased with the rangerhouse/krankyboy fund, and it's c2c. So another one has been taken off my list.

Now if I could just find Dynamic Comics #9.... :)

Update to my list:

(1) National Comics #6, 9 (Quality)
(2) Uncle Sam Quarterly #2-6 (Quality)
(2) Future Comics #1-4 (McKay Publications)
(4) Our Flag Comics #1, 3 (Ace)
(5) any missing Capt. Marvel Jr. Master Comics issue (Fawcett) -- need to check for war-related stories

I repeat my "wantlist", meaning books for my wartime-themed research which I not only need to read/consult but also to keep:

(1) Four Favorites #12
(2) Boy Comics #13
(3) National Comics #11
these on top of my priorities right now. If it happens you stumble upon them, please let me know.

I’m also looking for a coverless National Comics #17 (I have an incomplete copy with missing pages).

I'd love to find Our Flag Comics #1 and 3 as well. Got to get those last issues crossed off the DCM list.

And speaking of lists, RH has just found a Dynamic Comics #16, so that just leaves #9 before we'll have a complete run. We're going to be teaming up, looking for Fawcetts (Captain Midnight, Wow, etc) and maybe some Nedors and other Chesler books in the future. Depends on how the RH/kranky fund holds up.

Looks like Dynamic Comics 9 may be coming soon as well. That would give us a complete run of the title.  :D
