Thanks Eric, it's now up!
I completely agree many of the MLJ scans here could use an upgrade or new versions.  Some are available from the LOC but I've no idea if they will ever get scanned.  Scanners like Len, DDB, BBoy and Brian haven't shown much interest in them and JVJ's list of books in his collection had just a handful of non-hero books.  So yes, Please Do scan your other MLJ books when you have time!

A cover to cover Canadian upgrade is going up now, United States Fighting Air Force #6 from Superior Publishers Limited! This is a book I've had for years, but for some reason I never read it until yesterday. I think it came in a lot of books I bought on eBay, some of which were very brittle. I always thought of this as being brittle as well, thus I never take it out of its plastic. In reality, it's not brittle, other than the cover which is only slightly. Anyway, it was a pleasant surprise to read. All of the stories were pretty good, even if they are pretty politically incorrect.  ;)

One small edit, it's April 1946, not 45. The 6 wasn't printed completely in the indicia and it looked like a 5 at first glance. That also means that my text file is inaccurate, but I think it's more trouble than it's worth to fix it. A simple correction of the description will suffice.

"Nice hat."

Thanks, it's my "Santa Cap." [audible groans] [/audible groans]

A new larger scan of Blackhawk #64 is up now!

******************************************************************************

May, 1953 - 300dpi cover to cover scan. Scanned in memory of Carl Wahlberg (fan777) who scanned it first.

******************************************************************************

Strangely enough, I had planned to just scan a random upgrade for my "memorial scan," and I selected Blackhawk #64 not realizing that Carl was the one who scanned the first c2c version back in 2012! A rather serendipitous choice.

Another different version upgrade. Smash Comics #7 is going up now!

******************************************************************************

February, 1940 - 300 dpi coverless comic, 150dpi cover scans by Henry Peters to make a complete cover to cover comic. Featuring Espionage and Archie O'Toole by Will Eisner, plus work by Paul Gustavson, George Brenner, Gill Fox, Stanley Aschmeier, Vernon Henkel, and more!

******************************************************************************

I've actually had this scan sitting around since January, 2005 when I first uploaded it to ABPC. It may be the first book I fully scanned at 300dpi, but I put it on a CD and forgot about it until I came across it again today.

Now up.
I've removed the older, smaller scan though.
