Just for the record, I knew that Dan Barry was a long running Flash artist. But I was not at all familiar with the work. Flash was never carried in any of the papers close to where I lived. But before I posted I did do a small amount of research on Dan Barry's strips.
The funny thing is that all the samples of Dan Barry's Flash that I've seen look nothing like Alex Raymond's Flash to my eyes.

The Austin Briggs Flash Gordon art only superficially looks like Alex Raymond art.
The Mack Raboy Flash Gordon art looks little like Alex Raymond art.
(I have an original Mack Raboy Flash Gordon page I'd like to sell or trade by the way. Is it OK for me to say so here?)

Especially in passing and in context, nobody's going to mind, Bob. Anybody interested should contact him directly, though, and not in the thread.

Thanks, John.
JVJ (RIP):
If you're going to be telling people about it, Bob,
it would probably be best to spell his first name "Mac" which is how he spelled it.
FWIW.
