Gene Fawcette in Leroy #4?
« on: March 09, 2011, 06:33:43 AM »
Looking through Leroy #4 (Standard, June 1950), and the text story "Sweet Music" by Jane Hobart, has the initials GF (at least, it looks like a G) in the lower right corner. Would that be Gene Fawcette. He did sign Terrible Tom's Evil Eye as GF in Supermouse #39. And he did some work for Standard around that time looking at the Who's Who.

It could be, Greg,
but it looks nothing like what I think Fawcette looks like. Could be Jerry (sometimes Gerry) Fasano, but doesn't look much like him, either.

Thanks for looking at it, Jim. I thought I'd throw it out there.

A bit late, but looking for more on Fawcette I came across this. In the sixties and seventies Gene Fawcette had a very recognizable G.F. signature that looks nothing like this.
