Two Cracks from bhcomics tonight: #33 (pgs 7-8 missing & no ibc/bc), & a replacement for an old fiche: #49 (c2c but ifc/ibc/bc borrowed from darkmark's fiche).
I upped another in my now 3-month-old Young King Cole series a few days ago; I still have a few more to do before summer ends

Can't-nucks. Arrrrrgh!

From bhcomics, some cowboy stuff tonight (no Kubert art, but some nice Kinstler stories): Jesse James 8, 26, 27 (last 2 are probably all-reprint; both even have a war story).
And a Wild Bill Pecos - the Westerner 35. I have several of those to do, mainly the issues with Calamity Kate.

I enjoy the Young King Cole book and will be glad to see "new" ones.

I'm not familiar with K- Kate, and I'm curious enough to read at least a few. She's a character I can't even recall reading or hearing about and it sounds like one my much older brother might recall, since he was very fond of western and cowboy comics.

Tonight, starting a new (but short) series: all-paper replacements for some old Air Fighters fiches... first: #5!

Anytime fiche files are replace with scans made from a paper copy that is good news, especially when it is something like early issues of Air Fighteres which are being upgraded.

 Thanks.

Nice scans and edits on Master #7, freddy! But is there any chance of recompressing the scans at a higher resolution? If I view these at normal comic book size on my computer (with a good LCD flatscreen display) the scans come out a bit blurry. I think you can risk enlarging the total file size to 45 or 50 megs without it getting too out of hand. I do recommend scanning at 300dpi and then resizing to 1024 pixels width. That seems to provide clarity without it bloating into just too many megs.  Call me obsessive, but I do worry that skimping on the resolution size now will seem shortsighted 5 years down the line. And now may be the only chance we have to scan many of these classics.

But all that aside, your brining this issue into paper instead of fiche is much appreciated.

I'm afraid I'd need much newer & faster equipment to scan at anywhere close to 300dpi and still have a life, or scan many fewer comics. I do scan somewhat denser for these really-early issues.

Back to two of my favo(u)rite series: Young King Cole v3#9 (more of Wayne Boring's Toni Gayle including the cover); and some gun-totin' cowgirls in Crack Western 81 (Two-gun Lil) and Westerner 27 (Calamity Kate!) (upped a few days back)
And 2 more Jesse Jameseses from bhcomics (who also supplied the Crack W 81): 21 & 24, both all-reprint (I believe)

A minor upload: the 2 super- or costumed-hero stories of Feature 94: (Dollguy & Rusty Ryan)
A minor request: can the info for the 'fixed' re-up of my bhc scan of Speed 7 be changed back to:
title: Speed 007 (62 of 68 pages)
desc: front cover + 61 of 64 pages [the missing-pages info can stay as is]. Thx!
