(39: fc + stories redone; 40: stories + new fc & bc from HAG)
Both oldies are erased!

And tonight it's the last in my rescan series starring Jennifer Holt's older brother Tim, #41!
and the first in the retitled series: Red Mask #42!
As usual, only the stories are redone, plus HAG fc & bc if available.

RM #42 was one of my really early ones upped for me by Yoc, so I need your help to dump the oldie; thx! (the TH41 is dumped.)

A new fiche-replacement tonight -- Crack Comics #5!
My copy is missing the cover, ow & two cfs, so...
the fc+bc are from HAG; the ifc,ibc,2cfs & pg63-4 are DM's fiches; and pgs 1-2 are 'paper' also from DM's old upload.

A new Centaur tonight -- Super Spy #2!
But, coverless & missing 2 ows. I could find only a smallish fc at the gcdb; a few other sites had the same sad scan. So, if anybody knows of a better coverscan, pls send it to me!

Hi Len,
I have a slightly better version of the cover here.  A shame about the missing story pages.

Thanks! I'm re-upping the file via my CP with the better cover.

New for tonight: a new Tim Holt 16!
I wasn't able to rescan my original comic because I returned it soon after buying it due to 4 damaged pages. I've finally got a new, undamaged copy, so it's now complete (with new, larger scans of all stories, of course).   ;D

Now this I would call a diff ver.

but only if I kept the old, sad scan on the site.

But if another exists out on the net, especially from the same scanner/editor, then a 'diff ver' listing makes perfect sense to me.

How about something like  'ffly ver 2'?  Or maybe put in the year: '2015 ver', or if necessary, '2015 ver 2'.
And, what do you name the 3rd version (& beyond)? A 'more-diff ver'? Or maybe 'differ ver'?
Or, more seriously, 'ver 3'?...

I still think if a database (such as dcm) has only one version, then it's not 'diff'. Maybe it's 'upgraded', or 'replaced', or 'new', or 'improved', or 'now gluten-free', but if it's the only one, it's not different than anything else on the site.

Hi Len,
Ver 2, 3, etc sounds easier.  Never will a scan on DCM be gluten or MSG free.  We believe in a full body flavour.
'Smoke DCM Unfiltered!'   ;)

DCM is not the final authority on scans.  We are only hosting versions that are in the public domain.  There are now some scans here with at least two versions out there.  Some even more if they had a GM scan or were reprinted recently so I'll continue to use (diff ver) when I know of another one even if it's the only one on DCM.  Especially if I know there is a fiche or reprint version out there as well.

I've only been removing the fiche and small very incomplete versions from our files when a c2c or much better version shows up.
For your own rescans I think the current (diff ver) -upgrade system  is working fine.
