Thanks Beau but the cover is not the first file in the Preview.
Please be sure to either number the files at the front of all file names or that all file names are the same with numbers at the end.

OK.  I often insert an "a" before my cover image, I'll try and keep it uniform for my golden age scans.

Change the cover image name to "NewRomances10p01" and it should work fine.  Similarly, I put a zzz before a tag or in this case Jim's index cards.  I need to number those uniformly, too?

I think the problem in this case is that lower case "a" comes after upper case "N" in the sort order used by the Preview function. (Since it sorts in a case sensitive manner). Am I right, Yoc?

Yep.  Numbering files at the start of file names is the only sure fire way to avoid troubles.

Yeah, it's a little out of register, though.  Liz sure was a cutie.

I'm trying to do a decent job on the photo covers, but I admit I don't get too crazy on the repair since it is a photograph. 

I'm trying to get into these Standard romances.  Many of the scripts don't really appeal to me, but I'm enjoying some of the art.

Must be hard not to try and fix them when you know you can.
That book must be quite a collectors item these day.

Here's a couple of issues of Capt. Billy's Whiz Bang from 1923 and 1924.  By the time of the first issue, Billy has started to add a bit of illustration.  By the time of the second issue, there are drawings and cartoons all over the magazine, and a photo insert has been added.  In the house ads, you can see Fawcett is diversifying with some new magazines.  True Confessions was a very successful attempt at getting into the True Story market that MacFadden had discovered, and Triple X was Fawcett's first venture into the pulp field.  In the second issue, the photo insert shows some ladies showing just a bit of leg and enjoying issues of the new pulp.
