I LOVE this cover! I expect I'll find a place to use this somewhere!

There's some nice bigfoot art in this issue -- I'm going to have to do some research, because (with the exception of Ken Hultgren's "Robespierre") almost none of it is identified. "Izzy and Dizzy" is a joy, with a silly retake on Alice in wonderland; Teepee Tim is quite fun as well. ("In those days, indians had no fire and did many strange things to keep from freezing: 'Spank harder, Papa, it make me warmer!' 'Me glad to! Waving arm like this keep ME warm, too!'")  There's more energy in the character design than I'm used to seeing in ACG -- maybe I'll have to rethink my aversion to this line and take another dip into the archives!

Rethink indeed. Forget the painful mediocrity of their SF/Horror & romance titles, strike from your mind their wretched late-era superhero comics, bask instead in the glory of some of the finest funny animal comics ever done, and smile.
