NOTE - any donations made in APRIL, you will be given credit for them in this FTP offering.

Hi Gang,
For this month of May 2018 every user who donates will be given FTP access as an alternate method to download files from the 21000+ Digital Comic Museum collection.

For each dollar donated donors will receive 5 gigs of file downloads over the next 31 days from the day the donation was made.
Click on the Donate link here ( (or at the top of the page) to contribute to the cause and receive your FTP login info in an email.

Please be sure your DCM profile email is a working address first if you aren't using an active address.

For the last two years our FTP Access Month has been remarkably popular.  Donations to the site are vital for keeping our server bill covered.  These FTP Access Months help DCM build a reserve fund for those months we come up short in our monthly goal of $288 or if there is an emergency such as a hard drive that needs replacing in our servers like last April 8th for example.

DCM is a built on four pillars.  The physical comics and those that buy and share them, the scanners/editors of those comics working many hours to share their scans, the staff working hard behind the scenes and the financial donors who give their money to keep our servers running.  Those financial donors don't get nearly the recognition that the other groups do but are easily as vital to keeping DCM a healthy site!  As a thank-you to donors this month we are offering our third FTP Access month!

A simple list of all comics on the FTP and their locations: (

Plus a placeholder page that sums everything up. (

Here are the specifics -
For every donation you will be given access to the FTP from the donation date. Due to costs, bandwidth etc download limits will be put in place.
For every $1 donated during May you will be given a download limit of 5 GB for the following 31 days.

So lets get on to some examples....
* Bob donates $1 to DCM and for the next 31 days is allowed to download 5GB in total.
* Jane donates $10 to DCM and for the next 31 days is allowed to download 50GB in total
* Barry donates $1 and then $5 at a later date. Barry is given a 5GB limit for 31 days. When he donates again for $5 his 31 day timer is reset back to 31 days and an extra 25GB is added to his current download count.

How to get set-up:
1. Once you have donated to the site you will receive an e-mail with the FTP details, username and password. This e-mail will arrive within 5 to 10 minutes of sending the donation.
Note: At the moment this is a manual process so please allow 24 hours for this e-mail, thou hoping to get most turned around in 1 - 2 hours and this will be automated once everything been tested and we are sure it fully works.
2. Read the e-mail as this contains all the important information you will require.
3. Enter these details into your FTP client and start downloading the files.

Rules / Information / Terms:
* Your donation to DCM is a donation to the site, it is not a payment for FTP access. FTP access is given as a gift to you for helping us out.
* Do not share your account details with anyone else.
* Do not be naughty or abuse the system.
* You must enjoy the comics that come from the FTP.
* This service is provided by Captain DJ and not Digital Comic Museum, any hate or problems please let him know.
* There is a user limit on the server currently so please think of others and don't stay logged in 24 / 7
* Once you use up your download limit you will no longer be able to connect to site via ftp.
* Anyone found to be breaking these rules will have their access revoked.
* If you do have any issues please e-mail us at:

For common questions on just what is FTP access see the next post in this topic.

A big thank-you to all you donors out there.  Those to come and those that have helped in the past.  And especially to those with repeating donations.
You guys are amazing!

Frequent Questions

What is FTP?
FTP is an acronym for File Transfer Protocol. As the name suggests, FTP is used to transfer files between computers.
With this method of downloading you can queue up MULTIPLE files for downloading from DCM.  You can queue them up and let the application download them to your machine for future reading.

How do I use a FTP Client?
I did consider writing my own guide but instead I am going to be lazy and ask you to take a look at the Filezilla tutorial at:
Filezilla is a free open source FTP client.

How do I donate to the site?
Use this link -

Are all comic files on the FTP server?
Yes all files are on the server (or will be, once a day the FTP will sync up with the website so don't expect newly uploaded files to the website to appear instantly on the FTP.)

Help! I need help?

Our FTP Access Month is now over.
A HUGE thank-you to all our donors out there that made it another successful month for us!  Anyone who donated right up to yesterday will have 30 days from the date of their donation to use their FTP access.
