Title: Jumbo Comics 087 -JVJ
Post by: Support Bot on April 17, 2011, 05:35:15 PM
Comic Name: Jumbo Comics 087 -JVJ (39.21 MB)
Description: A c2c paper scan of a book from the collection of JVJ. The cover was missing a hunk, so I have included an alternate cover from Heritage Auctions.

Two stories have undergone color restoration, Sheena and Sky Girl (Matt Baker art in the later).

Much thanks to JVJ for access to his collection, and to Heritage for their collection of beautiful cover scans.

When you remove yellowing caused by age, everything ends up too blue unless you readjust the colors afterward. If you're using Photoshop, use the middle eyedropper in the Levels palette and select a black area (try to use one that hasn't been overprinted). That will restore the colors to a more natural appearance.

I guess its all in the eye of the beholder. I use the middle level dropper in a different fashion, and, yes, the colors are all adjusted and re-adjusted.  Thanks for your comments, however.
