I have a system for determining approximately when Golden Age comic book characters go out of copyright: two years ago, when we still had our old IBM computer and SONY television set, I learned that the statute of limitations in existence at the time was twenty-seven years.   So now I simply add twenty-seven years to the date of the first issue.  In this case, the comic would have gone out of copyright in nineteen seventy-nine.

At the time RACKET SQUAD was being published, gambling was still illegal, but now it has largely been legalized (even though cheaters are still penalized).

Several things have occurred to me as I reread this issue: first, that shoplifting is not a racket, and second, that the Guatemala Sweepstakes racket has indeed been revived.
