You will find varied opinions here about color preferences - some of them rather strong. Many people, including myself, prefer that the colors in scans should look as close to possible to how the book would have looked when it was first sold. When I edit scans, I try to compensate for the aging and yellowing of the newsprint, as well as the fading of the ink. (It is not easy to do both at the same time.) There are others who like the bright colors that are seen in reprints (and in modern books), and some argue that the original publishers would have printed comics this way if it has been possible at the time.
Your colors do not look too bad, but are perhaps a little brighter than I would personally prefer. My love of comics is more of a nostalgic one, and the softer colors, the grain of the paper, and other minor imperfections all contribute in bringing back the memories I had when I first read comics as a child.
Thanks for sharing your work.

I have to agree with Nonny Moose. When I digitially edit a book I try and make it look like it did when it came off the press lo those many, many years ago!!!

Keeping a comic as close to what it originally was is what I'd prefer. But there are plenty of examples where the colors are not in align with the ink and it looks sloppy. Take a look at "Tegra, Jungle Princess" #1 here at DCM. It looks bad. I'd love to see a good fan colorist do something with this. Even a b&w version might be an improvement. And for those of us who don't see 3D without funny glasses, a b&w version of a 3D comic is fine with me too. Those are restorations I have no problem with.
