Hi everyone,
I've learned with much sadness that our own fan777, scanner, editor, financial donor and the man that informed us of the Library of Congress allowing citizens to scan from their collection on the premisses, has passed on. He died last May 7, 2015. Our condolences go out to his family.

RIP, Carl. He was so nice in sharing his experience at the LOC and how to get started scanning there. The rest is history, and thanks to him for sharing the information.
Condolences to his friends and family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. What I didn't know that he lived that close to me. Yes he was a long time scanner. I just saw something about this on the net before reading about it here first.
