Len's latest upload has 17 pages that show up with the fractured scan image instead of the actual scan. This includes the outer front cover and the first interior page. I checked, and the same upload on CB+ demonstrates the same problems.

Hmm, I downloaded and didn't have any problems

Hi Ed,
Works just fine for me as well.

Hi All,
I had the same problem as Ed, but converted the file back to zip,
then unpacked it, re-zipped it, which fixed the fractured jpg
files.
I've encountered the same problems with some torrent files.

I don't understand what the problem is guys. They look just fine when I use CDisplay on my PC.

Thanks for the advice, Dave. I'l have to learn how to do that and try it. (Still a newbie in the "make a zip or rar file" area.)
Yoc--Your comment made me try the file on CDisplay and it did work fine, just like you said. The problem shows up because I have been using CDisplayEX for a few months now since another file gave me an issue with CDisplay, which I had always used before. At least I can read and enjoy the file now with the older comic reader program, but since my system now uses CDisplayEX to read the first item in a .cbr or .cbz file as that file's icon, this issue will just have to sit in the Cap Jr. folder represented by just a balloon until I can fix it like Dave suggests. There are worse things!
My thanks to all!

Hi,
It looks as though this problem is down to CDisplayEx, as I use this as well and
appears to be the common factor here.
I know that Yoc still uses CDisplay (the original), which obviously works OK.
Dave
PS - Verified, just downloaded a copy of CDisplay and a new copy of CMJr #7
and it opens fine with no problems.
CDisplay can be found at http://www.cdisplay.me/
I've virus scanned the setup zip file and program and Avast
Reports files OK.

Thanks for figuring it out guys.
Isn't that odd a book would be buggered in one and not the other?
I've been very happy with Perfect Viewer on my tablet. I think they have a desktop version as well.

I first ran into this kind of thing with one of pawbroon's files for an Australian comic that he had scanned for CB+. It turned out that he had either answered one question or had one setting set differently than he normally would during the compilation process and it rendered the file unreadable to CDisplay. (CDisplayEx handled it fine, but again, I don't know why as this zip file and rar file stuff is still Greek to me.) The same kind of thing may have happened in the creation of this comic file, making parts of it unreadable to CDisplayEx. I suspect that is true because none of freddyfly's many, many, many other files have ever demonstrated this problem. Something about this one "just ain't right" it seems.

Hope I'm not to late for the discussion, BUT, I could not open the file in my Comic Rack program, but it would open in CDisplay. I played with it a little.. similar to Dave's routine and re created the file as a CBR file which now works in Comic Rack, CDisplay and Perfect Viewer. Must be Germlins ;D. There are many "favors" of JPG formats and I think that may have something to do with this type of problem. When in doubt, re-zip!!
