Title: Pleasant Surprise about Jim Mooney-
Post by: profpike on September 29, 2013, 12:21:06 AM
So, I'm kind of new to the site, yet and I started looking up who some of the artists were because they were uncredited. So, I was starting with Ace and found out that Jim Mooney was an artist on the title I was reading. Did he do a lot of work for Ace? I always thought of him as kind of a "working class Joe" artist. Dependable a a Swiss Watch and never really being in the limelight as a star. I often think of Rich Buckler the same way. Any other surprises in store for me?

More than you can count. You will find some surprisingly good artists that you may never have heard of. You will also find some quirky artists like Fletcher Hanks or Paul Gattuso who brought a different look for our enjoyment. BTW: I have always like Rich Bucklers work although I have found that others find him mundane.
