What is best way to source Golden Age Comics?
-
Please explain what you mean. Do you mean, if you use a comic in a research paper, how do you cite it?
-
Sorry I should have explained it better. What I should have said was how do I find place were I can purchase the comics. I am new to this so I do not now if I am paying the correct price for them.

There are online price guide sites and archives on some auction sites like Heritage where you can see what they sold for there in the past. Those should give you a general idea but with eBay and such the guides seem almost out of date the minute they are printed. It's hard to say what a book 'should' sell for now.

And, depending on your goals, you can cheat horribly. Years ago, when I was more interested (since there weren't many alternatives) in the physical ownership aspect, I usually just picked a cutoff of a couple of dollars. Looks interesting and is under the target? Mine.
Strictly speaking, you'll probably overpay a bit, but if you think about the time to look things up and make a rational decision, it could be a wash. For me, that kind of shopping is painful enough that it's worth a few extra dollars.

Thanks for the advice.
I have found a comic book store in my home town. Had a look around and was amazed at what I saw.
The comics are not laid out in any order, they are stacked together with no protection. Also the price is on the comic front on a sticky label. If I know how to get a idea of the value then I may pick up a few good purchases. While I was there I picked up 2 Ghostley Haunts comics from Carlton Comics, they are in a fair condition. As for the value I do not know, so I will try and do a bit of research.
Have caught the collectors bug!!!

Yep, it has a habit of sucking you in as you can see by the books here.
Good luck with it Ben.Sorry I have to leave now, I hear a comic calling my name.
