Title: Blazing Western 13
Post by: Astaldo711 on April 13, 2013, 06:25:31 AM
It's a zip file but inside is a folder with jpegs; scan01.jpg, etc. Renaming a zip or rar to cbz or cbr respectively isn't an issue, but not sure how to create one from scratch.

Hi Astaldo,
There are a lot of free archive apps.  7Zip will create a zip or rar file.
Is this file not working for you when you download it?

I guess you must have changed your upload parameters? It used to be when I downloaded a book it was either a .cbr or .cbz file. I could just use a comic reader and read it. Sometimes it was a zip or rar file that  you would just to change to .cbz or .cbr. The ones I mentioned are zip files that when opened, contain a folder with the jpegs in it. Changing those to cbz or cbr won't enable you to open it as it's still a folder. For instance, if you opened a cbz file inside would be the jpegs. If you opened one of these, there would be a folder with the jpegs in that.

Sorry A, I'm still lost.
We haven't changed any rules.  Any of these files should open fine in CDisplay.  A zip file can still be renamed cbz and work as would a rar file to cbr.  As long as it isn't a rar renamed cbz or zip renamed cbr we are happy.  And Mac files are also a no-no as they break CDisplay.
