Are the full length Peanuts comics stories by Alan Dale that appeared in 1960-1961 public domain?

No idea Glam.
How about trying our PD status FAQ and see if you can figure it out?

I would guess a big fat no.  Peanuts is still copyright by United Feature Syndicate, and they would probably act swiftly to keep the characters in ANY incarnation out of the public domain.

Also, assuming you mean the Dell series, I don't think I've ever seen a Dell book past the early '50s without a solid copyright.

Technically Peanuts Worldwide LLC owns the characters now, but your point still remains.

If I may digress -- I used to live in Sonoma County CA near Charles Shultz's longtime home. Schultz put a lot of money into the county. He built a professional ice rink (and subsidized some fabulous exhibitions); next door is the impressive Snoopy Museum, on a site with weird linkage to Mormon history. He also financed the Canine Companions for Independence campus. A small statue of Snoopy was erected in Railroad Square in downtown Santa Rosa, attracting many busloads of (mostly Japanese) tourists. The county airfield is familiarly known as Snoopy International Airport. Et cetera. Shultz was a good neighbor. But he was never sloppy with copyrights; neither are the current IP owners.
