Title: Fightin' Air Force #9 missing two pages
Post by: jrvandore on July 08, 2012, 07:05:59 PM
This scan appears to be missing pages 2 & 3 of the first story.

I just checked the preview and it was all there. Pretty sure the first two stories and Timid Pilot are Bill Molno. Sure look like Eugene Hughes was involved. He is not listed at Charlton on Whose Who but that would be the time he left DC so wonder if he may have done some Charlton work.

Are you sure you meant #8 Jr?  I too checked and it's all there.

No, I am quite the idiot.  I meant #9.

And checking you are correct.  I've marked the book as INC on the site.  Thanks for letting us know.

Hey, Fightin' Air Force #9 is incomplete?  I think that was one of the only two comics I've ever uploaded... and it was complete.   :)

Ah, wait a sec, looks like someone might have replaced it.  A someone named watson387?

I just checked the original at CB+ and it is missing the two pages also.

Hey DL, if you still have the full scan please upload it again.

I think I backed my copy up somewhere.  Do you need the whole comic, or only the two missing pages?

I'm assuming it's the first two pages of "The Battle of Britain."  I can't download anything from DCM due to my handle, so I can't double check it for myself.

Oh, and btw, do I upload this stuff directly to DCM?

The entire file would be nice but you can also upload the two pages here as message attachments using REPLY and ADDITIONAL OPTIONS/ATTACH at the bottom left.
Unless you've been banned you should be able to use the PREVIEW feature to see exactly what is and is not there.  Pgs 2+3 of the first story are missing from #9.

Sorry, why can't you download?  If you've said already sorry I've forgotten.
You can send me details in a Private Message if you like.

... Sorry, why can't you download?

The login script on the main page can't recognize the "!" in my user name.

The second page of the first story (here named as "Fightin' Air Force 09 - 03b," but what should be "Fightin' Air Force 09 - 04" of the fully scanned comic).

The third page of the first story (here named as "Fightin' Air Force 09 - 03c," but what should be "Fightin' Air Force 09 - 05" of the fully scanned comic)

I upped the c2c version to the site, if that is a problem, just delete.

The login script on the main page can't recognize the "!" in my user name.

I think you can (and I know we can--I just checked) drop the exclamation point on the Profile page, if you want.  For the user name itself, it may also be the space.  I was recently saying that I've been having serious problems around the Internet changing passwords because I put spaces in them (to, you know, make them easier to remember), and I've never seen a system that accepted them in names...not that I've looked.

Since it's distinct from your display name, it should be harmless, but it'll definitely involve a password reset if one of us does it.

Yes, under profile you can have a different login name from your forum display name.  But you'll need to confirm changes with an email that might not always make it to you and might require help from me on our end.

Thanks very much for the page fills!

Eh, don't bother guys.  I'm not really that interested in downloading anything anyway.

Besides, I could probably live with an underscore instead of a space in my user name, but I'll NEVER give up my exclamation point!  ;)

No problem Yoc, glad to help out.

Just to be clear, nobody actually sees your user name.  Mine isn't "John C," for example.
