Title: Hi from The Netherlands

Hello everybody,
A big hello from The Netherlands. I used to read a lot of comics when I was a youngster, wich is some years ago )not to many  8) ). Since I buyed a Tablet, I started reading comics again. Last week I talked with the parents of a pupil and figured out a scheme to let him read English, wich he really needs. Him being a comicbook fan I thought it would be nice if he started reading them in English. So that's how I found this wonderfull site! Had a little trouble registering, but the guy helped me out perfectly! I hope to enjoy a lot of the marvellous comics I find here. I start of with Spirit, my favourite!  :P

The Spirit is a superior character very much worth reading.

 There are a wide variety of public domain comics here, spanning the major genres, so I'm sure you will find quite a few things which you will enjoy. As you noted, comics can be used as effective teaching tools.
