Hey folks,
This sounds weird, but I'm looking for a public domain comic book cover that depicts a junkie which I can photoshop for a silly little ebook my niece wrote, called GIRL SCOUT COOKIE JUNKIE. Yes, it is a stupid project, and it is for fun not profit.
Any suggestions?
Tnx,

Harvey Comics Library #1 with TeenAge Dope Slaves would probably be perfect.

No problem Jim... it was the first thing that came to mind (though if you wanted to go non public domain, this would be perfect: Green Lantern #85 http://www.comics.org/issue/24404/cover/4/ )

I have a little problem with reconciling graphic images of people injecting heroine and morphine with the thought of girl scout cookies. The word "junkie" has lost a lot of the shock value it once had and has come to mean something different, in the same way that "chocoholic" doesn't reflect the nature of alcoholism. The second Plastic Man story (from Police Comics #2) has a few panels in which Ol' Putty Puss morphs into a quivering sterotypical junkie that is intentionally humorous. You might consider photoshopping one of those panel and enlarging it. Although I guess you could try using the cover of Teenage Dope Fiends and editing out the spoon and syringe and substituting a box of girl scout cookies.

So...you don't eat cookies with a spoon and syringe?

Wait - are you saying there's some other way?
