Title: Converting Zip Files
Post by: Tmdess on January 13, 2012, 04:25:49 PM
Some files are in Zip format, and when I download them, I have to read them one file folder at a time in ZipIt (I'm on a Mac). Does anyone know if there's a way to convert them or open them so I can read them like files in .cbr format without having to open each page separately? Thanks --

T please read this link for more help on this: http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1808.0.html

Would hope that this "fixes" this problem for you.
By the way I use a MAC too, and read books with
FFview myself.

Thanks, Geo. I downloaded FF but still have the same issue. It shows the comic in individual pages, and to read it I have to open each page (by double-clicking) individually. It's pretty tedious...any other thoughts?

BTW, I love this site -- I've been reading about a lot of these comics since I was kid and having the chance to "own" them and read them is fantastic!

Glad you are enjoying the scans.

If you can read cbz files then you will have no problem with zip files.
Just rename the ZIP to CBZ (or rar into cbr) and you should be fine.

Please check the FAQ as well if you find any other problems, we cover most of them there.
