I've just read Club 16 Comics #1 from Eastern (http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?dlid=14826 ). The artwork in the Bungling Ben feature isn't signed but is quite striking in a garish kind of way (it starts here: http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?dlid=14826 ).
One of the GCD indexes (http://www.comics.org/series/14626/ ) guesses that it might be Boody Rogers. I think it's Boody-esc, but not him. Any ideas! are welcome...

p.s it reminds me of a Toronto artist who's younger than me, so much too young to have done it, named Nick Maandag

No, it's not Boody Rogers. I'm certain of that. Offhand, many of the figures' poses and faces remind me of Lou Ferstadt. I'm not saying it is him (I haven't done a close comparison), but it sure reminds me of his work. It's something I'd investigate more if it wasn't so late.

I don't have my notes here, but I'm thinking George Harrison and/or Terry Szenics.
(Now aren't you glad you asked?)
