Title: New JVJ Publishing Website
Post by: JVJ (RIP) on August 08, 2011, 10:16:48 PM
Just a little heads up to tell you that I've emerged from my 3-month-long submersion in the redesign of my website. Thanks HEAPS to Francisco San Millan for his tremendous creativity and design and to Karen Lane for her great help.

here's a link if anyone is interested:
http://www.bpib.com (http://www.bpib.com)

Check out the new ILLUSTRATORS page with biographies of over 100 different artists.

The site is incredibly "deep" with well over 150 different pages of information and hundreds of full-size illustrations in the ImageS sections.

Peace, Jim (|:{>

Great job Jim.  :)

The Illustrators page is wonderfully done IMO... I really like how you used those rectangular art samples over each artists bio link.

We can all thank my designer/friend, Francisco San Millan for that, DL. He's very much responsible for the look and feel of the site. The content is a decade old, but made to appear more current by the modernization of the graphics.

Looks really great Jim. I especially like the information on the "Illustrators" pages and rework you've done on them. I enjoyed going to a few of them. Jeffery Jones page was interesting as I've enjoyed his early work he did in the comic book field and the link to the teaser trailer of 'Rough Cut'? WOW!! It's to bad he just died earlier this year, a really amazing artist we lost there.
I know I will be going back and be checking out more of these fine pages as time permits.

Geo

Good looking site and piles of stuff to get through on it.  Your pal has done a nice job. I'll be passing on the link to some folk who will be interested.

The update looks great, Jim.  I've referred to your illustrator pages many times as a place to learn about the artists.  It's a fantastic resource, so thank you for all the work you put into it.

Thanks, guys,
I'm honored (and frankly surprised) that a 14-year-old site still has any relevance on the modern Internet.

and you're welcome.
