Title: Very important copyright question
Post by: Funeral on June 08, 2011, 05:18:50 AM
Hello!

as I read that the copyright of the comics (you have here for download) has expired, I just wanted to ask an important question:
May one use the pictures (or parts of them) in the comics for shirtdesign, coverartwork or similar things?

I would be lucky to hear something eligible!

The are all in the public domain, which means nobody owns them. Or, everybody owns them and can do with them what they please.

At least, that's the theory, but we aren't lawyers, so beware. ;-)

Funeral,
PLEASE, PLEASE do not rely only on our say-so if you are planning a commercial endeavour.
Always do your own research or even better use a lawyer to confirm before use.
Check our FAQ section for a 'how-to check PD status' tutorial by JohnC to start.

Thanks for your answers!
I do not really have any project running - but it´s just interesting, if parts can be used for artworkthings!
Maybe even a backgroundscene or something like this … but it´s right: if one does something like this, a lawyer has to be contacted before!
