I really like the online comic viewer used when previewing comics on this site. How was this viewer made? I'd like to use something similar on one of my own sites. Is it based on image gallery code available to the public or was it made specifically for this site? Thanks!

I wasn't involved and haven't looked at it, but from what Captain DJ mentioned, it's (his) purely custom code that unzips the archive into a temporary space (that gets cleaned every so often) and serves the images individually.  I hope that's of some use, at least, until you can get a fuller answer from the man himself.
