Title: ANC?

Looking at a few of the Better/Standard/Nedor covers, and below either the "Standard Comics" logo, or the price tag, it sometimes has the letters "ANC". Any idea what this is?

ANC was the distributor Roy. 
American News Co. Inc.
Lots of various comics had the distributor's logo on the cover.
