Title: Identify Golden Age Mystery Woman

Last year I saw a fische of a Golden Age female character I'd like help in identifying. She was a heroine who wore powered iron gloves invented by her father or grandfather and she used them to strangle evil-doers. Anyone know the name of the character and what issue(s) of a comic book she appeared in?

Sounds like a scene in a Tom Strong issue where Mrs. Strong tried to strangle an evil Nazi baroness.  :-\

Yeah, in the same spirit I guess. But definately an old character, maybe only one appearance.
