Title: Little Orphan Annie Question
Post by: Dell4c on July 03, 2010, 04:54:33 PM
I was following the strip through Super Comics 115 when it stops. At the end of 115 Annie is in the house of Mrs Bleating-Hart and has just discovered her husband in being kept in an insane asylum (likely against his will by her for his money).

Are there any Little Orphan Annie fans out there that can tell me where this part of the strip was reprinted so I can find out what happens??

Thanks very much!

Bob

If all else fails, a large library might have microfilm copies of old newspapers. This is a bit more work-intensive that reading a collection.

I have no idea what year that continuity is from, but you could also poke around Google's news archive search (http://www.google.com/archivesearch/advanced_search) for scans of papers that carried it, like this from 1944:

Scroll a little to the right and you'll see the Blade's comic section which includes an Annie strip with a Bleating-Hart episode.

Thanks very much!!!!  that was very helpful! Found the end of the story from Feb 3, 1945 through April 11, 1945.

Now I can sleep better knowing how she got away :)

Hey great!  Glad to help.  The newspaper archive is a wonderful resource/time thief.
