Please keep to the point.
Please give us time to respond

I just tried uploading a pic for my profile and got:
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.
I used the same browse procedure to get to the pic that I've used to do this at the GAC forum and GACinExile forum, so there may be something wrong with the forum directories not having the right permissions set.

Will look into it

Please try now...it should work

Please try now...it should work
Hmm... This time I got:
An Error Has Occurred!
Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.
Please consult your server administrator for more information.
(I should probably note that the jpeg I tried to use is 256KB, which is overkill, but at the GAC and GACinExile boards that didn't seem to be a problem. I assume the board software compressed the image down to a more compact size.)

Give it another go and see if that works.

Limit is more width/height of the image. We have set limits on 125x125.
Way around it is to upload your avatar to another site and link it to your profile. Forum software will use that link and resize it on display.

I shrunk the image to no more than 125 pixels wide or high and tried to upload it, and got this:

(Just for the record, the resized image was 104KB on my Mac.)

Anyway you can upload the image to external site and post url here so can take a look at it. Hopefully can see then why it failing to upload and change settings to allow it.
