Pray tell, what does the "_pg_99_" in the file name mean?

it is simply a tag to make sure that the referenced page reads last (the others are pages 1 - 36 of a 36 page book).  The last page is a tag of the scanner.  I am sure you might have seen them in use in many of the scans.
