Description: This is a 300 dpi scan of a Fantastic Comics #1, published December 1939, featuring the earliest published work of Fletcher Hanks, and first appearances of a whole slate of Fox characters, including Samson, Stardust, Space Smith, the Golden Knight, Professor Fiend, Sub Saunders, and others.

yep, Moonled, there are some lightweights in the field, but balanced out nicely by some heavyweights.  I didn't even mind the Little Nemo rip-off...trippy.

About 1963 I bought a B&W photo of the cover of this issue from Fan Pioneer Jerry Bails.

Today I read the great paper scans of a wonderful copy of the book. Many thanks to all involved!
