"Jim Solar Space Sheriff Defeats the Moon Missile Men" was written by  Walter Gibson, best known for his massive Shadow pulp output. The art was by E. C. Stoner. There were at least a dozen other Jim Solar givaway titles. They measure 7 x 3.5 inches.

For those not familiar with Walter Gibson's other work for comic books, go to Charlton Comics' six issues of "Space Western." The stories range from downright whacky to pretty serious. Gibson is said to have written the whole title.
