Title: Whiz Comics 001 (Ashcan covers only)
Post by: Support Bot on October 14, 2011, 10:42:21 AM
Comic Name: Whiz Comics 001 (Ashcan covers only) (879.92 KB)
Description: (from Wikipedia)
As explained in the 2007 edition of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide (pp 592–593), Fawcett created two black-and-white ashcan #1 issues to solicit advertisers and to secure the copyrights to the material. The two copies were identical but carried different titles: Flash Comics and Thrill Comics; the Captain Marvel character was called Captain Thunder in a near-identical story. When Fawcett went to press with the magazine, the first issue was retitled as Whiz Comics #2, a name inspired by the company's bawdy humor magazine, Captain Billy's Whiz Bang.

Hi, did this ashcan not enter the public domain? Does anyone know the height and width of it (dimension)? Does it have the same dimension as golden age comic books?
