Took a chance on Freckles with the newly edited version, and I'm glad I did. Fun book, in the Gasoline Alley or Mickey Finn style of family comedy/drama. I wasn't familiar with the comic strip or the book. Thanks, Narfstar, for the book and scans, and Movielover-Novus for the edits!

I wonder who did the splash pages on these stories. They are lettered in the Standard style, not taken from the story and they look sort of familiar...
