This is a badly done scan. "Improvements" have been made which only call attention to the flaws of the printing process. THESE SHOULD BE ARCHIVAL SCANS--EXACT REPLICAS OF WHAT IS PLACED IN THE SCANNER BED! PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO "IMPROVE" THE SCANS. THIS IS WORSE THAN A MICROFICHE SCAN!

Agreed! It is a shame when folks feel compelled to make the 'white' areas of the book ridiculously white. Let the pro publishers do that! When it is done badly it is so glaringly ugly!

I hate to criticize something that's free, but I agree with the others.  Just scan it with the yellowed pages as it actually looks.  This just looks...well, weird.
