Just uploaded the final version of THRILLING COMICS #22 (this time with the correct last couple of pages) and freddyfly's scan of TIM HOLT #37. I'm also trying to upload a batch of SPIRIT scans we've recently gotten in. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, love the Nedor stuff.
-
Thanks very much for your help DM.
All are now up!
:)
-
Now on the FTP (or it should be): FIGHTING YANK #29. This is a 29-page crazy-quilt from at least 3 different sources, including Mr. Door Tree, but it's all there and not reprint. All of the Yank stories are present, even though it's no-ads. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
It's now up gang.
-
Just put together a one-page-missing version of TIM HOLT #15 from King Faraday's scan and Freddyfly's three pages. It's on the FTP now, so you can grab it there.
-
Thanks for all your uploads DM!
-
YVW, Astraldo! Now, two new ups which aren't my scans: EAGLE #2 from Fox, which combines Freddyfly's scans with the 1 page of Spider Queen needed to finish the story, and an incomplete FANTASTIC COMICS #14 which consists of the Stardust and Flip Falcon stories. Both on the FTP. Enjoy.
ETA: I'm also uploading a copy of FLAME #8 which, again, isn't my scans, but what the hey. Ain't it neat what you find when you poke around Fox Comics?
-
Thanks DM!
I'll get all but the FANTASTIC COMICS #14 up soon. I have fiche scans to edit of that issue when I can eventually get to it.
-Yoc
-
Same files probaly need fixed at GAC also if you get a chance Astaldo
-
Now uploading to the FTP: a reconstructed version of RULAH #17, comprised of pages from ALL-GREAT JUNGLE ADVENTURES and a GCD cover. Regrettably, we don't have page 1 of the Rulah story, but we have all the rest. Grab it when it gets there.
-
I uploaded a few more Fox things we didn't have to the FTP, including the last 2 issues of MYSTERY MEN we needed and a couple of PHANTOM LADIES. You can grab them when you're so inclined.
-
Thanks DM but I might be holding off on the PL books for our own project.
I'll send you a PM
-
I've taken the PL's out of the FTP account. Upped a one-story Rocket Kelly, though.
-
Thanks DM, your scans are now up!
-
DM,
Sorry, but I had to remove the MysteryMen 25 scans. They had the 'GM' watermark on them which we can't use on DCM.
Again, sorry about that,
-Yoc
-
OK, didn't know about that.
-
No problem DM.
I only noticed after I downloaded it myself. 'GM' watermarked scans are still not allowed on the site as a courtesy more than anything.
Thanks for the other goodies though!
:)
-
OK, I've upped 7 new comics to the FTP. Several aren't my scans, but I've upped THRILLING #16, a new fiche scan, and new improved versions of POCKET COMICS #1, 3, and 4. Also snagged the last MAN IN BLACK issue from Wilddog. Grab everything!
-
Thanks DM
:D
-
Also upped Freddyfly's JUNGLE COMICS #142 (Kaanga, Camilla) and 149. Hope he doesn't mind.
-
Now up, thanks DM!
:)
-
Uploaded THRILLING 17 to the FTP last night. More Doc Strange and the Lady in Red. All fiche, all yours. Enjoy.
-
Hi DM,
Your Thrilling 17 has a bad scan 19. Could your replace it and re-upload?
Thanks,
-Yoc
-
OK, Yoc, uploaded a much smaller and hopefully corrected THRILLING #17. But wait! There's more! In this offer, you also get two stories from ATOMIC BOMB COMICS #1 (Airmale and Stampy & Captain Milksop), YOUNG KING COLE v1 #3 (nms), and CRIMINALS ON THE RUN v4 #2 and 5, corrected from IW / Super reprints mistakenly stuck in the YKC folder and now given the correct title, number, and GCD covers to boot. Act now! Operators are standing by.
-
Thanks DM.
The size of the first Thrilling17 was fine for a 68pg book. It was just that one page that was broken.
I just checked and Atomic Bomb and YKC 3 were already up, sorry. But thanks for the other goodies, I'll get them up shortly.
:)
-Yoc
-
Just did a few fiche fills to make the new CRACK COMICS #11 upload a c2c and put it on the FTP. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, going up soon.
:)
-
The latest is THRILLING COMICS #18, all fiche, all yours. Doc Strange, the Woman in Red, and a lot of stuff between. Enjoy. The series is winding down.
-
Thanks darkmark. :)
-
Yvw, Aussie. Once the Thrillings are done, that may well be the LAST I can display on the site for now...so enjoy.
-
Thanks DM.
I think there are still some older large fiche scans from you that haven't been improved.
I couldn't say exactly which issues but I recall seeing some and thinking you must have them on your 'to-do' list.
-Yoc
-
Unfortunately, the external hard drive I was keeping my raws in, as well as most of the GA comics I downloaded, has gone south. Going to try to get it fixed and what I can retrieved, but it remains to be seen what can be done. Thanks.
-
:o :'(
Ouch! Very, very sorry to hear about your HD failure DM!
Good luck with the recovery. Please let us know how it goes.
-Yoc
-
I had an external die on me. Fortunately it only held what I had from a couple publishers. Makes me want to back up my external with another external
-
Well, cross your fingers and pray. Seems that the problem MAY have been a db file in the Recycled folder...when I reattached the HD and the comp did a consistency check, it went thru 100% this time and truncated the bad file. All the files seem to be readable now, so maybe we're in good shape. We'll see!
-
three cheers for prayer
-
Sad news, guys. The external HD has cashed its chips. However, I'm hoping to be able to send it back to the supplier, who may be able to extract the files from it, put them on another disk, and return it. Maybe. In the meantime, I'm trying to upload the remaining issues of ME's ROBIN HOOD to the FTP. None of them are my scans, but I don't expect to hear any complaining. (Most of them are IW-Super reprints with new covers. Doo wah!)
-
Thanks for uploading the Robin Hoods Darkmark
-
Thanks DM.
Very sorry about you external HD.
Who made it so I can stay away from them.
-
Not sure. Problem may have just been on my drive. Anyway, I'm getting a 1TB drive from a friend soon, so the problem will be rendered moot.
-
Well, the big news: Virus scorched my internal HD. Got it fixed, but one of my externals...the one which was giving me problems...is gone. Also, the two new externals somebody sent me won't work. When I can manage it (and download a copy of Photoshop), I'll hopefully be back in biz.
-
Holy crap DM, you've got the worst luck!!
I hope you had your books burned somewhere!
Let us know how things progress,
-Yoc
-
Just uploaded THRILLING COMICS #23 by sitelink. This one's another fiche scan although, sadly, 2 pages are missing from the American Crusader story. Otherwise, it has Doc Strange, The Ghost, some also-rans, and a lot of people going "Ug!"
-
Now up, thanks DM!
-
Now THRILLING COMICS #26 is up, thanks to sitelink. Featuring Doc Strange, the American Crusader, the Ghost, the Lady in Red, and some strips you probably wouldn't remember even if you were a fan. All fiche, all yours. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
-
Just uploaded THRILLING #30 via sitelink. Doc Strange, American Crusader, Ghost, Lady in Red. I suppose it's about as Thrilling as the other ones.
-
Thanks Darkmark as aways, another fine job. Now up for your uploading pleasure folks.
(http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/9935/screen1zu.jpg) (http://img6.imageshack.us/i/screen1zu.jpg/)
Enjoy.
Geo
-
That looks cool, thanks. And now I've uploaded an improved fiche version of CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #13 by the site link. Go grab it.
-
It is now up darkmark, thanks again. Folks go get it now.
Geo
-
Just noticed we didn't have a copy of CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #19, so I added one, which is nms. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
-
Thanks DM! Love Captain Midnight!
-
Yvw, Kranky. And now we have THRILLING #34, in fiche form, followed by an improved fiche version of CLUE COMICS #1 and a c2c-ing of Phabox's FEATURE #39 (2 fiche fills by me). Enjoy.
-
Thanks to darkmark, all three are available for downloading now.
Thanks again darkmark for doing these for us, they are most welcome.
Geo
-
Thanks DM.
Could you please match the file name format as it appears on the site though?
The books don't appear in numerical order if you forget to match the others.
-Yoc
-
Sorry, Yoc. Just uploaded THRILLING COMICS #37, which is probably going to be my *last* such upload, until and unless I can find a new supply of GA comics. Enjoy.
-
Thanks very much DM.
For this and the hundreds of others you've provided. It's a very impressive body of work!
:)
-
Thanks for all of your uploads, DM... especially this latest issue of THRILLING, which contains my favorite hero from the title, The American Crusader.
Funny how -- in his last appearances in the title -- Archie Masters basically dropped his meek and mild-mannered Clark Kent act to become outwardly hostile to Nazis while still in "secret identity"mode. However, he still seemed to have a penchant for breaking their necks whether in costume or not.
-
And hey, you deserve a break...as long as your posting doesn't go the way of the scans, I mean.
-
DM's latest, a partial Prize 49, needs re-numbering from 49 to 049 to match the rest of the issues
-
DM's latest, a partial Prize 49, needs re-numbering from 49 to 049 to match the rest of the issues
Fixed. Thanks Len for finding this.
Geo
-
I'd like to thank darkmark for his latest upload Prize Comics 061 (Yank and Doodle).
Thank you very much for it.
Geo
-
DM uploaded several Black Magic books.
Sadly he missed that #29-33 are not in the public domain so we can't use them.
But we appreciate the others. And the updated Frankenstein as well!
-Yoc
-
Thanks, folks, and sorry I didn't know some of the Black Magic stuff was off-limits. I'll keep looking for stuff we don't have.
-
Thank you for your finds anyway darkmark, they are appreciated. By the way it happens to the best of us.
Geo
-
These are now up thanks to darkmark:
4Most Comics v6 03
4Most Comics v7 05
4Most Comics v7 06
Thank you for your latest uploads.
Geo
-
Yvw, Geo.
-
Thanks DM!
-
Great to see a new batch of these! Thx!
But... more renaming is needed to fit in with the rest... 4 Most, not 4Most
-
Fixed now Len, thanks for the catch.
Geo
-
Crime-Fighting Detective 019 a brand new upload by darkmark, enjoy people.
And thanks darkmark for the upload.
Geo
-
Yvw. More when I can find them.
-
I upped kind of a combo of my Canadian edition of CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #66 (the first CM Jr. story and the Kanvasback short) with the rest of Freddyfly's fine scans to the site. Whether you want to put it up or not is up to you.
-
It is now up and ready for downloading.
Thanks Darkmark and Len for this.
Geo
-
Thanks DM!
-
Finally, a new upload. A paper copy of CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #96, supplied by John G. Pierce. It's uploaded by site link, so maybe you know about this one already. Cheers.
-
Thank you kind Sir for your latest upload, much appreciated.
And for everyone else it is available now.
Geo
-
Just upped a full copy of EXCITING COMICS #20 which is NMS, but I think you'll enjoy it.
-
Thanks Darkmark, it is now available to all you kind folks out there.
So what are you waiting for?
Geo
-
Thanks DM.
Pages seem to be out of order though.
Might be worth correcting and re-uploading Geo?
-
Thanks DM! :D
-
Thanks DM.
Pages seem to be out of order though.
Might be worth correcting and re-uploading Geo?
I'll take a look into it Yoc.
UPDATE: I found some 4 pages from Exciting Comics #44 inside the file which I removed. Hopefully this corrects the problem, am re-up'ing it right now as I post this.
Geo
-
Darkman? you wouldn't have the centerfold to Exciting Comics #30 would you? I just updated all to paper, and I'm missing centerfold. I kept the 18 pages you had scanned.
Thanks either way RH
-
Darkman? you wouldn't have the centerfold to Exciting Comics #30 would you? I just updated all to paper, and I'm missing centerfold. I kept the 18 pages you had scanned.
Thanks either way RH
What I mean to say I'm missing the centerfold in my personal copy of this issue and would like to complete if you or anyone else has?
-
RangerHouse, PMing Darkmark would probably get a quicker response from him.
Geo
-
DarkMark has long used fills and allowed his own to be used for fills.
He's cool like that. ;)
-
Go ahead, man. It's all in putting out a better product.
-
Thanks to darkmark Sure-Fire 001 is now c2c. Thanks again darkmark for doing this.
Geo
-
:)
Thanks DM!
-
Yvw, Geo.
-
Just added the fourth and final missing issue of THUN'DA via the site uplink. Hope you enjoy it!
-
Thanks DM for filling the last hole we had on that series.
Geo
-
Yvw, Geo. And for an encore, I've upped two issues of CRIME DOES NOT PAY. One is my scans, the other isn't. But that doesn't bother me. ;-)
-
Thanks for the uploads DM.
But please, double check the issue numbers before uploading.
Crime Doesn't Pay 047 was your own 049 already on the site and
Crime Doesn't Pay 135 was actually 136 which is an upgrade but I have to figure out how to change the file name without a re-upload.
But of course thank-you for your generosity and I hope the new scans go well.
:)
-
Sorry about that!
-
No worries, just don't want to see your time wasted or even worse, they get shared all over and the real 47 or 135 is never scanned! ;)
-
I think I have contributed 4 issues of Crime and Punishment, none of which are my scans. I will now go to bed.
-
Now up.
Thanks again DM
:)
-
Thanks again for the up's DM.
Geo
-
Yvw, guys. And now it's a c2c paper scan of BOY COMICS #58, uploaded via sitelink. Enjoy.
-
As a followup, I added the three pages that were missing from Freddyfly's MARVEL FAMILY #85 and uploaded it. Enjoy.
-
Thanks again DM
:)
-
Yw, Yoc, and now I've upped a copy of CRIME AND PUNISHMENT #14 I found online. Enjoy.
-
Now up, thanks again DM!
:)
-
Increased our Popularity a bit with a few books I noticed we didn't have. Nms.
-
They've been added earlier this morning, I just didn't add a post about it, had to go to the dentist for a cleaning at the time. Thanks for them DM.
Geo
-
Put up some more since then, Geo. Thanks.
-
I believe Yoc posted those DM, so he's the one to thank on that.
But keep'em coming DM.
Geo
-
Just uploaded an improved version of AIRBOY COMICS v4 #12, a fiche scan. Hope you like it, or at least like it better.
-
Thanks DM,
But we've already got that issue mostly as paper with your own fiche fills. So I think we can say this issue is happily covered.
:)
-
Thanks, Yoc! I must have missed that one, so I'll add it to my share.
-
Np DM. It's hard to keep track of what is the latest version at times.
:)
-
Well, just uploaded the latest version of MODERN COMICS #67. I've included the scans from the earlier version, together with paper scans which complete the issue, except for the inside back and back covers. Hope you enjoy!
-
Thanks for the additions DM,
Now Up! :)
-
The latest is BOY COMICS #56, a c2c paper copy with two Crimebuster stories. It's a good copy, so I hope you enjoy it.
ETA: Just uploaded a new, corrected version. Please discard the first one. Thanks.
-
Hi DM,
I'm glad you noticed the problem with your first upload.
It's deleted and the corrected version is now up.
Thanks very much for sharing this!
-Yoc
-
Guns Against Gangsters 06 with two stories from it is now up thanks to DM.
Geo
-
BOY COMICS #66 is now available, which brings us down to 6 issues for that series. Enjoy.
-
And it's live. Thanks DM.
Geo
-
Thanks again DM!
:)
-
And here's another from DM:
Jesse James 029 in the AVON section.
Thanks DM for continuing the western theme going on here as of late.
Geo
-
And on the heels of Jesse James #29, we now have Dan'l Boone, Greatest Frontiersman of All #06, plus Red Mask 051 (txt pgs added)-30pgs both from DM.
Thank you.
Geo
-
Thanks, guys. If I can find some more stuff we don't have, I'll see about posting it.
-
Nice to see more Jesse... but 3 pages of #29 are covered in blue: 5, 27 & 32
-
That's the way I got it, Len.
-
I don't like announcing ups of scans someone else did here, but since we've already got it, I'll let you know Mr. Door Tree's scans of CRACK COMICS #20 (incomplete, but a lot more complete than we had before) are available.
-
Thanks for uploading it DM.
And you could include a link to his blog that would be good too.
http://goldenagecomicbookstories.blogspot.com/
I'll add it now. :)
-
3 more uploads, which are really just repackagings: CRACK COMICS #8, with more Mr. Door Tree paper scans; IBIS THE INVINCIBLE #6, with Jimpy's paper scans and my fiche; and AIRBOY V. 8 #9, with Jimpy's black and white story scan added to Freddyfly's Airboy and Heap stories. Enjoy.
ETA: Also got CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #52 up, with 3 stories from the Blue Boy Blog and 1 of them from here. Enjoy also.
-
Thanks very much DM!
I've corrected a file name problem you had in Ibis 6.
Please be sure the numbering is uniform throughout the book. ie either two or three digit numbers.
Your version had pg 02 following 011.
I've also added US versions of the front and back covers from Heritage.
-
Thanks, Yoc. I have two issues of BOY COMICS to be scanned, and hopefully will get to them this weekend.
-
Just upped BOY COMICS #55, with Bob Fujitani art on the second story. Another one awaiting scanning.
-
Thank you DM, it is now available for downloading.
Geo
-
Just added BOY COMICS #49, an all-paper scan, to the site. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, going up now.
:)
-
Just uploaded HEROIC COMICS #86, a fiche scan missing 4 pages.
-
Thanks DM, now up!
-
Just uploaded HEROIC COMICS #86, a fiche scan missing 4 pages.
Hey DM,
When I saw your upload, I recalled that I'd previously downloaded a paper scan of this book; I've just uploaded that scan, which is c2c and also includes original artwork for one of the pages.
-
Thanks Snard, I've removed the fiche version.
And thanks to DM for his upload again.
-
BOY COMICS #42, all paper and all there, is uploaded to the site. Go on and grab it.
-
Thanks, Mark. I enjoy Chuck Chandler and I'm happy anytime a copy of "Boy Comics" is added.
-
Yvw, jfglade, and we also have scans of CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #39, at least the Cap Jr. stories in it, done by Don Ensign on his Blue Boy blog. (Try saying that five times fast.) All yours.
-
Captain Marvel Jr. #39 and Boy Comics #42 are now up for everyones enjoyment.
Thanks DM.
Geo
-
Yvw, jfglade, and we also have scans of CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #39, at least the Cap Jr. stories in it, done by Don Ensign on his Blue Boy blog. (Try saying that five times fast.) All yours.
Thanks DM but PLEASE be sure to use .jpg files in the future.
These were .gif format. If you find this you can use a free app like Irfranview to convert format.
I've converted and reuploaded a fixed version of the scans.
Thanks again for this and the nice Boy Comics 42!
-Yoc
-
Just upped a copy of CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #33 to the FTP. It's from the Blue Boy Blog and contains only the front cover and the three Cap Jr. stories, and it's all .gif's. So, if you want to convert it before putting it on the site, it's all yours.
-
Thanks DM.
Have you tried converting on your end? Irfanview does it very easily.
Just a thought.
:)
-
I'm glad to see that the material from the Blue Boy Blog site is still being added here and that the owner of that site is still coming up with material which isn't available here.
-
Yep, if only he'd do them c2c and let us host them as jpgs.
Oh well, the material is certainly welcome! :)
-
Uploaded BOY COMICS #64 by sitelink. This gets us down to two issues for the series.
-
So close! Thanks DM.
:)
-
Added a few CRIME DOES NOT PAYs tonight, including one of my own scans. Enjoy.
-
Check you PM's DM.
I can't add 47, it's 49.
Thanks for the others!
:)
-
sorry DM but you did it again.
CDNP you uploaded was 139 not 137. We had the same file from you already.
I think you better double check anything you're getting from DC++. It's sadly a very common problem with getting files from people there and part of the reason I stopped using it for years way back.
-Yoc
-
You're right, though I still use it and will continue to.
-
Oh I'm not saying to Stop using DC++! Hardly!
I returned to the hubs a year or so ago and things have gotten better. It is a nice way to meet fellow scanners, etc. But I am saying just double check the scans before you cross them off your wanted list. The real sad part of it all is someone might have the Real CDNP147 and not bother to scan it because they thought it was already done.
Thanks again for your uploads DM!
:)
-
On the FTP, I've just uploaded a blend-version of FEATURE COMICS #94, putting together my fiche scans and Len's Doll Man and Rusty Ryan stories. Go ahead and grab it.
-
Thanks DM, going up shortly.
-
Owing to lack of funds, it'd be tough for me to try and complete BOY COMICS. But if anyone else wants to grab and scan a copy apiece of #36 and 40, feel free.
-
There is a fiche scan of #36 on the site. It's certainly not the only fiche scan either. I assume you mean #34 There are also a few other problems.
11 missing 2 pages
30 presumably missing 5 pages
32 missing 4 pages
33 all pages severely damaged
34 not scanned
35 missing 8 pages
39 missing 14 pages
40 not scanned
53 missing 4 pages (and fiche)
57 missing centerfold
In the not to distant future (I hope) I'll provide rescans of 22 (now fiche) and 50 69 75 (now all small). Jim (JVJ) has copies of 59 and 77 which we currently have as fiche scans also.
-
Just uploaded Captain Marvel, Jr. #76 from the Blue Boy Blog, all converted to .jpg's. Just the CMJ stories, but that shouldn't be a problem. Enjoy.
-
Thanks very much for concerting them DM.
The original .gif files just don't play friendly with the DCM software.
-Yoc
-
Thanks, Yoc. Now, I've just uploaded the first two Frankenstein stories from PRIZE COMICS. Not my scans, but what the hey.
-
Very cool!
A complete Franky run is something I've always wanted to see.
Do you know which blog these are from DM? Always nice to give them a plug in the description if you do.
Thanks for the uploads!
:)
-
It was from Freaky Frankenstein Friday in October 2010. I think Craig Yoe did the scans, and a number of blogs on the Net presented some of the stories.
-
More Dick Briefer comics are always welcome.
Thanks to all who made them available.
Best
Joe
-
Just uploaded CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #79 to the FTP. All from the Blue Boy's Blog, and converted to .jpegs. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, going up now.
-
Just uploaded CRIME DOES NOT PAY #85 to the site. Nms.
-
Thank you kind Sir.
Geo
-
Thanks, Geo. Now, I've added MASTER COMICS #45 from the Blue Boy Blog. It's a c2c version, so treat it well.
-
Thanks DM but I only see 58 GIF scans here. Something is missing.
I'll need to convert them to JPG and reupload so stay tuned.
-Yoc
-
I found one of the missing two pages on the blog but pg27 was never shared as far as I can see.
Likely it was just filler. Now up converted to jpgs.
-
Glad the Blue Boy Blog put it up! Thanks for the Master Comics issue, DM!
-
Just uploaded CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #22 from the BBB. Cap Jr. stories only. Don't know if the files need conversion, but they're all yours.
-
Thanks DM.
Sadly the BBB blog always shares their files in the GIF format which doesn't work with DCM software. Please convert them before uploading in the future if you would. It'd be much appreciated.
I'll download and correct this before adding it. Likely on Friday.
-
The corrected gif to jpg file is now up.
-
Found a Sheena story in my stash from JUMBO COMICS we didn't have, and posted it. Nms. Enjoy.
-
Hi DM,
I checked the first page in GCD and see it's actually from Jumbo 58. I'm re-uploading it with the proper cover.
You can see the listing for it here - http://www.comics.org/issue/3298/
Thanks for the upload!
-Yoc
-
Is my face red!!
-
No worries DM. During our Fixed file process we've caught a mistake or two just like this. Joe Palooka being the latest. 66 was posted as 99 as well. It happens.
Take care,
-Yoc
-
Just added a cleaned up and shrunk version of my CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #24 scan. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM.
Geo
-
Just added a cleaned up and shrunk version of my CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #24 scan. Enjoy.
Great good news, Mark. The early issues of Captain Marvel Jr. are consistantly entertaining and it will be nice to see a good copy of that issue.
-
It's still a fiche scan for that issue Jon.
We hope someday to have paper versions of them all but until that day we can thank all the fiche scanners for filling the holes.
-
The latest upload from the Blue Boy Blog: CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #72. All the CMJ stories, and they're all .jpegs this time. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
And I appreciate you converting them to jpgs as well. I wonder why the Blue Boy blog likes to use gifs?
-
Two new uploads, neither of them my scans: POLICE COMICS #116 and 120, both done by Pete DaScanna. On the FTP right now, so go grab 'em.
-
Now up!
Thanks very much DM and Pete if you see this.
:)
-
OK, you probably expected this...on the FTP, there's now an amalgamated version of CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #53, featuring the old color scans put together with Jimpy's black and white scans. Enjoy.
-
Hey, great work DM, thanks for doing this. :)
If you were willing the two sets of scans for CMJ 52 could use a merger as well.
-
I think we've already got the story for #52 in the bigger scan, Yoc, but thanks.
-
Just uploaded a completed version of RED SEAL COMICS #14 to the FTP with filler pages from a St. John reprint. Now, another question: I've patched together a more complete version of RED SEAL #17 by putting in the Blue Monk reprint pages from another St. John reprint. Do you want me to put that one up, or leave it out?
-
Hi DM,
Thanks for the upload.
I'm not sure on the RS 17, anyone else have an opinion?
-
Now on the FTP, two new one-story scans from the Nedor-A-Day blog, both from STARTLING COMICS. From #16, we have the origin of the Four Comrades. From #43, a pretty neat Fighting Yank tale. Go get 'em. ;-)
EDIT: From the same place, we picked up the Ghost story from THRILLING COMICS #32 to keep the Hale of the Herald story company, so it's been uploaded, too.
-
Thanks DM, they are now up.
-
The latest from my scavenger hunts: CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #75, from the Blue Boy blog. All .jpegs, CMJ stories only. On the FTP, so grab it and enjoy.

The latest from my scavenger hunts: CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #75, from the Blue Boy blog. All .jpegs, CMJ stories only. On the FTP, so grab it and enjoy.
Excellent.
Thank you.

Geo
-
Soon to be on the FTP (as soon as it quits uploading): LITTLE AL OF THE SECRET SERVICE #2 (1951), courtesy of Martin O'Hearn, who scanned it and did a pretty good job. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM,
going up now.
:)
-
Does ANYBODY know who's drawing the 2nd and 3rd Little Al stories here? While not nearly as distinct as in the Little Al of the F.B.I. two issue run, this guy does a LOT of late '40s/early /'50s comics work and I have NO idea who he is. Does Martin O'Hearn know? Help???!
Peace, Jim (|:{>
-
Now on the FTP, another great one from Martin O'Hearn: Fawcett's FUNNY ANIMALS #29. Hop on over and grabbit.
-
Thanks DM, now up!
-
Now on the FTP: CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #83 from the Blue Boy Blog. Enjoy.
-
Now up!
-
Brand new on the FTP: CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #84 from the Blue Boy Blog, and GHOST RIDER #10 from Pappy's Golden Age Blog. Neither of these are my scans, and neither has text, ad pages, or fillers, but that shouldn't bother you. Grab 'em soonly.
-
Thanks DM, now up!
-
The latest: CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR #85, harvested from Freddyfly with fills from the Blue Boy Blog. C2C. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
-
Another one from the BBB: MASTER COMICS #89. Enjoy.

Thank You DM.
Geo

A c2c scan from the BBB? That's great news!
Thanks for getting it uploaded DM.
:)
-
And the latest...a modified version of freddyfly's ALL-NEW COMICS #6 with two stories added (nms) to make it 37 pages. Enjoy.
-
Very nice, thanks DM
-
Just uploaded: CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #39, missing 3 covers and 4 pages damaged. All paper. Enjoy. Happy landings!

And thanks for it too DM.
Geo
-
Great to see more Captain Midnight! Thanks DM!

-
Thanks DM, going up shortly.
:)
-
The latest is CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #44, Cap Jr. stories only, and one of them missing pages, all taken from the Blue Boy Blog. If anyone has the fills, feel free to post them.
-
Thanks DM, now up.
-
The latest from the Blue Boy Blog: MASTER COMICS #111, c2c, scans by Don Ensign. Enjoy.
-
It is now up, thanks DM for it.
Geo
-
YVw, Geo. And now on the FTP: 4MOST BOYS COMICS #38, coverless but still in pretty good shape. The text story is by Mickey Spillane. Go get it.
-
Thanks DM!
-
Yep, thanks DM, Yoc took care of it for me.
Geo
-
Just added a hybrid version of Avon's EERIE #7, part color scans from a comics blog, the rest b&w's from Jimpy's scans. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM.
:)
-
YVW, Yoc. And now, the inevitable upload from the Blue Boy blog: MASTER COMICS #115. All yours, so enjoy.
-
Now up!
Thanks DM
-
And the latest...CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #71, and you know where it's from. On the FTP. Enjoy. Five pages are missing the top half, but you can't always get what you want.
-
I'm working on it DM, be up shortly. Thanks.
Geo
-
Now up. I've added (damaged) to the title.
-
And I added a new FC from HA with DM permission and saved it as a cbz for ease of use.
Geo
-
Could somebody meld Jimpy's scans with the damaged pages? I don't have a functioning Photoshop anymore.
-
I'll do it in a day or so if nobody else does DM.
-Yoc
-
Go ahead.
-
Fixed 71 now up.
Thanks to DM and jimpy for the originals.
-
On top of that, I've just uploaded to the FTP a new version which includes the two text pages from Jimpy's scan. Have at it, if you want to.
-
Oh, missed that. Thanks DM.
-
Okay, just uploaded MODERN COMICS #70, an all-paper scan, minus the ifc and ibc. Hope you enjoy!
-
Also just upped a hybrid version of CAPTAIN MARVEL, JR. #39 to the FTP, with some filler pages from a British book. Have at it, if you want.
-
Thanks very much DM.
Going up now.
Could I please get you to upload ZIP or CBZ files only in the future?
We are really trying to avoid rar based files now though they do work on the site.
For ease of use with the majority of members we're trying to stay away from it.
-
Well, Yoc, the problem is that I can't *do* anything but .rar files right now. Think you could convert them somehow?
-
What system are you on, if you don't mind my asking a stupid question? I think ZIP is actually inbuilt in most operating systems, whereas RAR takes work.
-
I believe it's winRAR.
-
You can make Zips with Winrar, it is what I use all the time.
-
True ML.
WinRar does has an option to make zip files. I use it as well. 'Create archive...' and it's in there.
I wont bother converting the existing ones but it would be great if you could make zip files in the future.
I believe there are other free 'zip' applications out there as well.
-yoc
-
Now on the site: MARVEL FAMILY #13, an improved fiche version. I'll be uploading more of these as I get to them. Enjoy.
-
Hey DM,
You've already got an 'imporoved fiche' version of this on the site. You've redone it again?
Re-saving jpg images repeatedly does degrade the final image substantially.
-
I do? Have to check that out!
-
There is a slight difference in the contrast between your new and old fiche scans but very little.
-
I suddenly discover that I had uploaded improved scans to the site but, somehow, I had lost them in my own stash. Whatta dummy!
-
Ah. Ok, I'll not add this latest one then.
-
Hi DM,
I guess I should delete Marvel Family #18 you just uploaded as well right?
-
Go ahead and delete it.
-
The latest: MASTER COMICS #100, from the Blue Boy Blog. C2c. Enjoy.
-
Now up, thanks DM!
-
Another Blue Boy posting: MASTER COMICS #107. This one has one page missing and an awfully small scan of another, so maybe we'll have an upgrade on it. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
Now up. :)
-
As usual, another MASTER COMICS issue from the Blue Boy Blog. This time it's #126, minus the inside and back covers. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
-
After some rummaging around, I found some comics in my stash that I hadn't scanned but which we still needed. So, up went SAM HILL #1, 5, and 6 (the last only 15 pages long), PAT THE BRAT #30, and SUPER DUCK #73 (coverless). Hopefully I can find a few more.
Eta: I did find a few more and hopefully they'll be available soon.
-
Wonderful!
Now up from DM as found on DC++ for the most part -
Super Duck 054
Crime Does Not Pay 037
Crime and Punishment 024 (inc)
A-1 Comics 128 - I'm A Cop #3 (15 pgs)
Super Duck 064
Super Duck 054
Mr Universe 04
Super Duck 073 (inc)
Pat the Brat 030 (inc)
Sam Hill 006 (15 pages)
Sam Hill 005 (inc)
Sam Hill 001
DM also upload a couple others but they were incorrectly shared on DC++
Dan'l Boone 6 was the same as the complete #7 on site, and the Durango Kid was 37 and not 35.
While I love what DC++ can do - the fact that one can't depend on them for what they share and can't correct an error when it's found makes it all very frustrating!
People downloading from DC++ -
(not shouting, just stressing for attention)
PLEASE CHECK THE CONTENTS AGAINST THE GCD LISTING AND CONFIRM YOU ARE UPLOADING THE ACTUAL BOOK YOU THINK YOU ARE. THANKS!
-
Mr Universe 04 is the same as this one - http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?dlid=19871
-
Crime and Punishment 024 (inc) is actually #34 (January 1951)
-
Yoc: That Durango Kid may *say* #37 in the indicia, but it really is #35. I checked it with Don Rosa when I was making an index for the title, so trust me on that, okay?
-
Hi DM,
Oh boy, I'm not sure what to do now.
-
Do the right thing, Yoc. BTW, I've uploaded a few more to the site and will continue to do so if I find more we don't have! Can we upload GM scans?
-
Hi DM,
Thanks for the latest.
The ATTACK issues were already on the site. They seem the same as what you've uploaded so I wont add them.
The Ozark Ike issue was actually #24, not 23 when you check it.
The Tim Tyler 16 was needed though. Thanks for that one.
Yes, GM scans are allowed BUT ONLY if we don't already have a better scan to replace them. GM's scans were terrible - small and that annoying watermark. We dump them as soon as a better version shows up. We treat them like fiche scans.
I haven't decided on the Durango Kid but I am leaning towards 'If the Indicia says it's 37 and it was published that way (and confirmed on GCD if possible) than that's how it gets shared on DCM.' I appreciate you've talked with Don but I'll take the printed evidence over what might well be a faded memory. Sorry if that offends but that's how I'm leaning.
-Yoc
-
I'm going to repost Crime and Punishment 024 as an alternate scan of 34 and ask people to ignore the cover.
-Yoc
-
Pat the Brat 030 (inc) is showing as a bad cbr file.
I'll ask Prime user to correct it and upload as a cbz.
-
Thanks Snard.
Sadly I deleted his upload so if you could check them against each other I'd appreciate it.
Another head scratcher atm.
-Yoc
-
Done for the moment with my scavenging. However, I noted on the Harvey scan list you posted STUNTMAN #1-3 as needed titles. Thought these were off-limits, but I can post something if you want.
-
I'm going to repost Crime and Punishment 024 as an alternate scan of 34 and ask people to ignore the cover.
-Yoc
Hate to be nit-picky but it has no cover to ignore, so you can remove the wrong cover reference in the page title.
-
Fightin' Marines #15 already on site. Located here - http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?dlid=1933
-
In that case, we need to be better with our deleting issues from the Comics We Need To Scan list. That's what I've been using.
-
can't update fightin marine. haven't put up the st. johns list
-
This is the August 1951 St. John issue continued from The Texan. The first Charlton issue was dated May 1955.
-
Sorry about that and thanks for the catch. In the meantime, I've tried a few more, and hope some pass.
-
Thanks for the catches Cooper!
-

I'm not sure what this is (I cant get the download to work), but if it is an IW it is either US Paratroops 3 (IW-1) or US Paratroops 6 (IW-8). Neither IW reprint is Avon's With the US Paratroops Behind Enemy Lines 1 as the notes seem to imply.
-
OK. Take it down, and I'll lay off this stuff for awhile.
-
According to GCD the cover is from With the U.S. Paratroops Behind Enemy Lines (Avon, 1951 series) #1 but the contents are from U.S. Paratroops (Avon, 1952 series) #3. IW reprints are always difficult to sort out. As long as no one starts trying to switch out covers and pawn them off as originals, then I think they're safe. I'd suggest keeping them totally separate and denote reprint information in the description. That's just a suggestion though. IW and Super have always been too confusing for me to bother with.
-
Right, sorry for all the confusion gang. According to the IW Contents Listing topic here -
http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1881.0.html
This is Avon #3 with a #1 cover. I've renamed the listing in the Avon section to reflect that.
We'll keep it on the site and hopefully someone scans the real deal some day.
-Yoc

-
Well, at least I managed to get a *few* of them right.
-
From the page for Animal Fair 004, Snard wrote "What happened to pages 8 and 9? They are much smaller than the others. (400x600ish) "
I decided to post it here so it has a better chance of getting noticed. Thanks for all the hard work Darkmark (and Rangerhouse). I look forward to the fix.
-
Well, coop, I think I'm giving up on editing those files. Don't seem to be able to get it right.
-
Thanks to DM we now have an upgrade to Big Shot Comics #1 originally uploaded by Len from BHC's scans.
Still missing isfc and inbc sad to say.
Geo
-
thanks, Geo.
-
thanks, Geo.
No problem DM.
Geo
-
Found a couple of fragmentary uploads: an ish of Sparky Watts with one story than what we had before, and a couple of Big Shot Skyman stories. Didn't want to announce them before they went up, in case something went wrong.
-
Thanks DM
:)
-
Found some issues of POPULAR COMICS we were missing and loaded them. Hope they are acceptable.
-
Thanks DM... even if the entire series makes me very nervous about sharing.
*sigh*
-
By this evening, we'll have some more stuff on the FTP. Enjoy.
-
Sounds good DM, let me know when you have finished uploading.
-
tonight's load is done.
-
Want to thank Bob Hughes for the lovely Big Shot scans from Bails microfilm! There should be more to come. Take care.
-
2nd load of books is on the FTP, awaiting your pleasure.
-
Yes, our thanks to Bob for helping with the fiche as well.
-
Uploading some Ziff-Davises to the appropriate folder. Hopefully less drama with these.
-
I'm sure there will be less.
Thanks for all the fills DM!
-
Uploaded one small Alex Toth romance story I found on a blog. Hope it passes!
-
Thanks DM.
What is the URL for that blog?
-
http://truelovecomicstales.blogspot.com/
-
Just uploaded a small alteration: AIRBOY COMICS v9 #8 with two pages of text added from Jimpy's Frankenstein scan. Hope it works!
-
Also upped a scan of BLUE BOLT v. 6 #3. From a coverless copy, but the front cover's from Heritage. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM.
I renamed your BlueBolt to match the others. Please try and match file name formats so they show in the proper order. :)
I also renamed this upgrade. Gave credit to Len and bhc for original upload.
Just uploaded a small alteration: AIRBOY COMICS v9 #8 with two pages of text added from Jimpy's Frankenstein scan. Hope it works!
-
Just upped one story from CRIME DOES NOT PAY #30, from Doc V's marvelous blog. Hope you enjoy it!

http://timely-atlas-comics.blogspot.ca/
-
Thanks DM.
Geo
-
Did another short upload, this one 2 stories from CRIME DOES NOT PAY #65. One and possibly both are from Pappy's Golden Age blog.
-
All taken care of, thanks DM.
Geo
-
I've upped a couple of things found on Pappy's blog, including ADVENTURES OF THE DOVER BOYS #1 and another FEATURE COMICS #26 with an added paper scan story. If there are any problems, let me know.
-
Thanks DM.
All are up now.
:)
-
Just uploaded a couple of Mort Meskin stories from JUSTICE TRAPS THE GUILTY, taken from Ger Appeldoorn's Fabulous Fifties blog. Enjoy.
-
And they are up for downloading, thanks DM.
Geo
-
Master Comics #78 is now up thanks to DM.
Geo
-
Just did an update to the Master Comics #79, filling in Freddyfly's scans with a cf from Don Ensign's Blue Boy Blog. Enjoy.
-
Now up, thanks DM
:)
-
OK, gang. With Yoc's encouragement, I've uploaded a whole big bunch of Jack Bradbury funny animal short stories from GIGGLE, HA HA, COO COO, and BARNYARD to the FTP. That's not the last of the bunch, but it'll do for a start. Go get 'em!
-
Also went ahead and uploaded the missing SPUNKY issues to the site, all minus ads and text, from the Bradbury Blog. More to come!
-
Thank you DM for these.
They are now up for
everyone now.
Geo
-
One big correction: I just labelled Spunky #2 as "Spunky 001" and uploaded it a moment ago. Can you correct it?
-
Hi DM,
Thanks for uploading all of these. I just check GCD's listing for Spunky1 and it shows the contents of your upload as being in #1 so no correction is needed.
-
Oh, I see it now. Fixed.
Thanks again DM!
-
My pleasure. When can we get the rest uploaded?
-
I just tracked the #'s of the two coverless Giggle Comics we have, #49 and 56, and uploaded them with GCD covers.
-
I'm going to wait on uploading any more Jack Bradbury shorts from the funny-animal books until we have some uploads here. Thanks.
-
Now up and thanks for finding out those two unknown issues!
-
Uploaded a bunch more stuff, which is waiting for you when you get to it.
-
Just uploaded stories from HA HA COMICS #51, 52, 57, 61, 63, 65, 69, 71, and 77-79. Plus last night I uploaded half of a MOON MULLINS and an OZARK IKE, and possibly more. Go get 'em!
-
Thanks for the uploads. Now I've uploaded stories from COO COO COMICS #42-44, 47-49, 52, and 56. Get 'em!
-
And the latest: stories from GIGGLE COMICS #46, 53, 55, 58, 59, 61, 62, 66, 67, and 76. Book 'em, Danno!
-
And now: stories from BARNYARD COMICS #15, 16, 20, 21, 23, 27, and 28. Enjoy.
-
From HAPPY COMICS we did stories from #22, 24, 26, and 28. Get Happy.
-
The last 4 groups of book will be shortly (fast as I can) folks.
Thanks for these DM.
Geo
-
Now we just did stories from GOOFY COMICS #20-22, 24, 25, 27-30, and 32.
-
And that should be it, unless I find more complete versions to upload.
-
Thanks DM!
Hey, I like your new avatar, very cool and mysterious!
:)
-
Thanks! And I musta had you working overtime to get those up! Please pull the OZARK IKE #23, because it really isn't. Also the black and white BARNYARD #28, because we have a c2c full-color scan replacing it. I'm working on editing some raws right now.
-
I also just uploaded GIGGLE COMICS #43, which was scanned by Narfstar and edited (unexpectedly!) by me. Found it on a hub and processed it. If you don't like the results, Narf, we can try again.
-
Thanks! And I musta had you working overtime to get those up! Please pull the OZARK IKE #23, because it really isn't. Also the black and white BARNYARD #28, because we have a c2c full-color scan replacing it. I'm working on editing some raws right now.
I've removed them but you can actually edit or remove any of your own edits if you go to the download site - into User_CP and into 'Approved Files' you will see everything you've uploaded. From there you can edit or delete your uploaded files.
Thanks again for all the help with these DM!
-Yoc
-
Latest upload: An edit of Narfstar's FLAT-TOP #3 from 1954. Hope you're okay with this, Narf!
-
Thank you DM for it.
Geo
-
Yvw. More to come!
-
I've upped another raw edit and will do another as time permits.
-
We'll be on the outlook for it.
Geo
-
Glad you got the new ones upped and the old ones fixed. Just uploaded an edited version of another Narfstar scan. Have at it!
-
Thanks DM. I've heard the last Frisky Fables was miss numbered.
Prime user is going to fix it.
-
Hmm, okay.
-
All right, yuh rannies! Done went prospectin' on this ol' Internet, and whut should I turn up but the piece of resistance, the gold nugget of 'em all, the...aw, heck...we done got you a story from SPACE WESTERN COMICS #43, featurin' SPURS JACKSON AND HIS SPACE VIGILANTES! Naw, don't bother to name the town after me...yuh know I'm too modest... ;-)
-
now up, thanks DM.
Added the 'If you own this comic' paragraph for you. Please remember to include it for incomplete uploads ok?
-
OK.
-
Thanks, I appreciate it.
-

Haunted Thrills 015 (1 story)
Haunted Thrills 014 (1 story)
Haunted Thrills 013 (2 stories)
Haunted Thrills 007 (2 stories)
Strange 002 (1 story)
-
Also that's a blog I won't be frequenting again.
-
Not a new scan, but I did a fix for BLUE BOLT V8 #4 combining the two versions we have here. Enjoy.
-
Hi DM,
Thanks but Len prefers to do his own upgrades and include thumbnails, etc.
-Yoc
-
Gotcha.
-
Now uploaded: CRIME DOES NOT PAY #128, minus inside covers. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
-
Went and uploaded a couple of MARK TRAILs from Pines. Hope they're kosher!
-
Thanks again DM.
Geo

Now up, thanks very much DM!
:)
-
Uploaded a couple of Christmas goodies I found on the web. The first is the 83rd SPIRIT SECTION (take a look at the back page for a surprise) and the second is a W.T. Grant giveaway from 1954 (my birth year) featuring Chester Cheer. Enjoy.
-
And thank you for them, very much appreciated.
Interesting those give-a-ways are.
Geo
-
The latest: BIG SHOT #74. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, Merry Christmas too.
Geo
-
U2, mon frere.
-
U2, mon frere.
Thanks.
Geo
-
They weren't exactly my scans, but I did find a reprint page for one we were missing in a KEEN DETECTIVE FUNNIES and figured out which ish of OUR FLAG had to be #3. Peace.
-
Thanks DM.
I hope that sorts out the Our Flag books.
-
Finally processed MERRY-GO-ROUND #1 (1944), which is narfstar's scans, I believe, and upped it to the ACG folder. enjoy.
-
Thanks guys, now up!
-
Just upped a couple of issues of TRUE COMICS, including the last issue, #84. NMS.
-
Thanks DM, now up!
-
BIG SHOT #92, C2c, scans by me, now uploaded.
-
Thanks DM.
I had to adjust the name to Big Shot Comics 092 to match the others on the site or it would show out of order.
Always nice to see a new Big Shot on the site!
:)
-
Just added: BIG SHOT #54. Go ye and do likewise.
-
Many thanks DM.
This is one that has grown on me over time and now I always welcome more.
-
Don't know if you can run it, but I uploaded a STUNTMAN #2.
-
And another one: BIG SHOT #79.
-
Thanks DM.
The Stuntman is still suspect so we can't share it but the Big Shot is most welcome.
-Yoc
-
Just did Big Shot #90. Enjoy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEea624OBzM
-
Now up, thanks again for all of these new B.S.C scans!
:)
-
Big Shot #70 now up. Missing first wrap, but I couldn't help that.
-
Thanks DM, even a partial book is better then none.
Geo
-
Just uploaded Big Shot #60, c2c. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, now up.
-
Thanks to dsdaboss, we have fills for the missing pages on BIG SHOT #70. Just uploaded it. Way to go, ddb!
-
Nice work guys, thanks!
:)
-
Finally got the last one done and upped: Big Shot #68. Enjoy.
-
Now up. Thanks again DM!
-
Big Shot #59 has been uploaded. Enjoy.

Geo
-
Thanks DM.
I think Geo forgot to approve it but it's up now.
Thanks for all the work you are doing on this title!
-
The latest: BIG SHOT #58. Go get it. That's all.
-
Thanks DM, adding it now.
:)
-
Now uploaded: a copy of CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #32 which is truly a burn victim. Handle with care.
-
Thanks DM. That's a well toasted comic!
The second page sure looks like a back cover to me but it's not from this issue.
-
You're right. Can you take it out?
-
I'll get it done DM, it will take a few minutes or so.
Geo
-
Thanks. Got another burn victim on the way.
-
Did you check it for radioactivity? Maybe they're survivors of the Fukushima power plant disaster!
and I have 2 of these on the way... arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh
-
You're right. Can you take it out?
Hi DM,
I could remove and upload it again but hat would bring the page count down to 35.
If you have a page that is missing it would be best if you used 'EDIT' for the book and uploaded a 'fixed' or 'upgraded' version.
-
DM, I did take the one page out, if you find the missing page, upload the "fixed" file to the ftp and I can replace it like I did with the one now. Just PM or post it here so I'll know it ready to be replaced. Thanks.
Geo
-
There aren't any missing pages, I just misnumbered them. Thanks.
-
I'll upload a fixed version and I've added a cover from Heritage as well.
-
Thanks Yoc and DM, that book got a lot of attention.
Geo
-
Best part is, there's another one waiting in the wings.
-
Best part is, there's another one waiting in the wings.
OK...
Geo
-
And now it's out of the wings. The second-fire damaged CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT, #33, has been uploaded. Front and back covers from Heritage.
-
Now up, thanks again DM!
-
BIG SHOT #82 uploaded. Go ye and do likewise.
-
Thanks DM always welcome.
Geo
-
Just uploaded MASTER COMICS #104. All yours.
-
Now up, many thanks for these DM.
:)
-
Just uploaded a new! improved! version of CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #32, with a lot of photo-editing and one formerly missing page included to make it c2c. Please take the old version off, and thanks.
ETA: Also upped an edited CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #33. Still burned, but a little better.
-
Both now up. Did you want the old #33 removed as well DM?
-
Yes.
-
Done!
-
Just uploaded a cf-less BIG SHOT #71, which you already know about because it's on the site. What the hey.
-
Thanks DM!
:)
-
Uploaded an edit of Narfstar's SIX-GUN HEROES #26, with some pretty neat art. Enjoy.
-
Now up, thanks DM!
-
Another edit: SIX-GUN HEROES #33. We've i.d.'ed the #. Enjoy.
-
Now up, thanks again DM.
-
Just for the fun of it: BIG SHOT #33. Enjoy.
-
Thanks again DM!
-

-
Now up!

:)
-
Yvw, Yoc.
-
BIG SHOT #75 uploaded. Go get it.
-
oops, it's actually #65 DM!
I've corrected this and added it to the site.
:D
-
You're right!
All apologies.
-
Another BIG SHOT has been uploaded. This is a recording.
-
This is a recording also: thanks for your upload DM.
Geo
-
Unless I'm confused (a very high probability), the file labeled Big Shot #87 is actually #82. (The filename seems to be correct.)
-
Thanks DM but this was not Big Shot 87 - it was #82 again.
I've removed the file. Perhaps you selected the wrong file when adding?
-
Must have, so hang on.
ETA: See if it works now.
-
Just uploaded CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #31. 4 pgs. damaged, but what the hey. Enjoy.
-
Now up, many thanks DM!
:)
-
Yvw. Also upped an edit of Narfstar's raws for SPORT THRILLS #13, so it should be there by now.
-
Now up as well!
-

Geo
-

-
Now up, thanks DM!
-
Yvw!
-
Yvw!
Huh?
Geo
-
You're very welcome.
-
BIG SHOT #45, sans centerfold, has been uploaded. Enjoy.
Nah, I can't leave it like that. If you're asking me (as we have before) what was my first exposure to a Golden Age comic, this was one of them. My uncle had a stash of 1944 comics which I saw when I was probably 7 or 8, and this was one of them. (Among the others were single issues of JOKER, ACTION, MILITARY, LOONEY TUNES, and CANNONBALL COMICS #2.) I'm glad to be able to put this one up at last.
-
Thanks DM, cool story as well.
:)
-
The latest is BIG SHOT #80.
-
Now up, thanks again DM!
-
Just uploaded GREEN HORNET #43 without Green Hornet, which ain't much. But you're welcome to it.
-
Done and done, thanks DM.
Geo
-
Just uploaded an incomplete CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #49. Anyone with the remaining pages is invited to post them.
-
It's up now DM, thanks even if it's not complete.
Geo
-
Now upped: 48 FAMOUS AMERICANS. Enjoy.
-
BIG SHOT #66: Just uploaded. Consistency. That's the ticket.
-
Thank you for your last 2 uploads, most welcome DM.
Geo
-
Yvw, Geo. One more Big Shot in hand, will be scanned when I can do it.
-
See it then DM...We'll be on the lookout for it then.
Geo
-
On toppa that, I just grabbed 3 more from eBay. Dear me...
-
Cool.
DM might need a name change soon...
but darkmark-BS doesn't sound politically correct does it?
;)
-
Big Shot Darkmark might work.
-
Uploading BIG SHOT #40 as we type. Look upon my Big Shots, ye mighty, and despair.
-
Hehehe.
Thanks DM!
-
BIG SHOT #75 was just uploaded. I guess it was inevitable.
-
Hehe, now up!
Thanks again DM.
:)
-
Just up: 35 pages of HA HA COMICS #45, from two different sources. Enjoy.
-
Up now: BIG SHOT COMICS #78, from 1947. Guess I haven't lost my touch.
-
Now live, thanks DM!
-
And now it's BIG SHOT #102, the highest number we needed.
-
Great stuff, thanks DM!
-
The latest: BIG SHOT #42. Missing 2 pages from Charlie Chan. This is one of the wartime books that only had one staple and had a couple of single pages, not spreads, in it.
-
Thanks DM. Now up.
Interesting about the one staple facts as well.
-
It was part of the wartime effort. Instead of two staples they'd use one in the middle to conserve metal. Also, instead of 4-page spreads, sometimes they'd just cut the spread in half and staple one page in the middle. (Timely was notorious for that.) History lesson for the day.
-
Just uploaded: CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #65. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, now up!
-
BIG SHOT #84 just uploaded. Was that enough of a breather?
-
No we want more now!!
Thanks DM as always.
Geo

Just upped DICK COLE #3. We'll always be near to Farr.
-
Done and up for downloading, thanks DM.
Geo

-
Just uploaded BIG SHOT #86. Only missing the ibc, though the Sparky Watts story is not my scans.

Many thanks DM. This is the one some of us were hoping to see!

Geo

YVW. And this means we only lack ONE Captain Marvel, Jr. story..."The Sinister Stamps" from CMJ #14. (Well, we don't have "Vest Pocket Levitator", but that was reprinted by DC.)
EDIT: I forgot we don't have ALL HERO COMICS #1 yet, which has another CM Jr. story.
-
Yes we are getting close on a lot of books and a lot are finished thanks to all the scanners out there.

-
You've uploaded the corrected version. Now you can do the same for CDNP #122.
EDIT: I've also enlarged the scans for the 3 FOUR MOST BOYS COMICS and uploaded them. Any more needed?
-
Thanks DM!
We appreciate this.
I see Whiz Comics 098 is small as well but I'm not sure it's your own scan.
-
CDNP #118 if possible.
DM seems to be just the uploader of Whiz 98, I list it as scanned by Billy Baston
-
CRIME AND PUNISHMENT #46 has just been uploaded. The first story reminds me a lot of ON THE WATERFRONT. See for yourself.
-
Also uploaded a bigger version of CRIME DOES NOT PAY #118.
ETA: And WHIZ #98, too.
-
Thanks for the larger scans DM.
But let's just worry about your own scans for now. We don't want to ruffle any feathers.
-
CAPTAIN MARVEL STORY BOOK #3 has just been uploaded. The last, the very last. Enjoy.
-
Thanks. High on my want list.
-
Wonderful! Now up!
:)
-
We are within 8 books of having all of the Marvel Family under one roof! Of course, those are a tough 8 books...
-
Only eight! Which ones?
-
All Hero Comics #1
Captain Marvel and the Lts. of Safety #1-3
Captain Marvel Thrill Book
Captain Marvel, Jr. #14, 53
Whiz Comics giveaway
We don't have all of Whiz #151 but we do have the Captain Marvel story from it.
-
Just uploaded: DICK COLE #6 (the original Star Comics version, not the reprint, featuring Dick Cole's last original stories) and #7. The first one is my scans, I'm not sure about the second. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM
-
The latest: CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #53. Outer wrap missing, but first story page taken from a British reprint. Enjoy.

Now up, thanks DM!

Thanks DM, now up!
-
Another Spirit Section uploaded. This is becoming a habit.
-
Long may you have it DM!
Thanks!
-
Thanks DM, the Spirit Sections are one of my favorites. Great stories and art, please keep them coming.
Ed
-
YVW, Ed! More when I can afford them.
-
Uploaded CRACK COMICS #20 with a few new pages added.
-
Thanks DM.
I added "-upgrade" to the name so people are aware it's not the same file.
-Yoc
-
Thanks, Yoc. Now up: CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #50, missing inside covers. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, now up!
:D
-
Just uploaded CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT #49. Pirated 2 pages from the old scan and 2 more pages are damaged, but it's c2c. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM, that's a great upgrade to the old one.
-Yoc
-
Always glad to see CPT Midnight.
However, the inside front cover seems to be corrupt. On my iMac with the Safari browser the first inch or two is fine. Then only black for the rest of the page. I went thru the first couple of stories seeing no other problems.
-
It seems okay on mine.
-
Works for me as well.
-
Mac user here. It works fine for me too.
Geo
-
Sorry guys. Now it works for me, as well. :-/
-
Now uploaded: WHIZ COMICS GIVEAWAY (1946). C2c. Enjoy.
-
Thanks DM!
I'll activate this on March 28th with the other Anniversary books if that's ok.
-Yoc
-
OK.
-
new Spirit Section upload: 1946/8/25 (Philadelphia Record). This was reprinted in an IW PLASTIC MAN and it's the first Spirit story I ever read. At the time, it didn't impress me much. How soon was I to know...
-
Done and up...Thanks DM. Got to love those Spirit Sections.
Geo
-
That's good, because I've bought another one!
-
That IW Plastic Man reprinted Police #95, IIRC. That was the first Eisner Spirit I read.
I'd mail ordered a Quality issue of The Spirit with all art by Lou Fine. So I was not particularly impressed by this one at the time I found it.
Now, I'm glad to see the story as originally presented.
-
Another Spirit Section uploaded. Go ye and do likewise.
-
Now up, thanks very much for the new additions DM!
:)
-
Uploaded 1 whole story from WONDERWORLD COMICS #31.
-
Sorry DM, that's from a reprint and not safe for DCM
-
New scan: CRIME AND PUNISHMENT #56. Not a reprint. Enjoy.
-
Thanks very much DM, now up!
-
CRIME AND PUNISHMENT #16 is uploaded. Cross that one off the list.
-
CRIME AND PUNISHMENT #16 is uploaded. Cross that one off the list.
It apparently didn't make it.
-
Now up!
Thanks DM. :)
-
DM can you rescan the last several pages please? You forgot to unfold the dog-eared corners and as a result, content from the book is blocked from view.
-
We'll try.
-
Thanks to innumerable requests, we've just upped the new! improved!! version of CRIME AND PUNISHMENT #16. Enjoy.
-
Now up, thanks very much DM.
:)

-
Thanks DM, it's now up!
:D
-
Just uploaded: 1 story from DAGAR, DESERT HAWK #23. All yours.

I can't find this story among the other Dagar issues and #23 hasn't been indexed on GCD. So I hope it's from that issue.
