I have formatted Mr. Petrie's wonderful JUMBO intro essay in case any obsessives out there might like to strip the txt file header of some of the CBZ files and have it set apart to sit on its own, by itself, in a corner somewhere. Uploading shortly, if anyone cares.
-
Part of the humour, of course, is that this is a 3-page file that clocks in at 25mb, in keeping with the massive size of the JUMBO scans.
-
Thanks Steve.
I checked the file and you had a very big PSD file in there for page 1 that wasn't needed.
I removed it and the file is a much more manageable size and will work in the Preview feature.

Awwwwww, y'ruined it, Yockie.
(thanks for the assist, actually, I had thought I removed the PSD file of the duplicate page, s'what I get for rushing. Gratitude..)

In honor of Thanksgiving, for those on this side of the pond, (for everybody else it's just a B-level Fawcett-Book holiday!) I will be posting the following Fawcett books, c2c & all paper, in the next few:
COMIC COMICS 2, 4, 5, 8, 9 & 10.
I'll also be posting Comic Comics #3, but only the cover and Mystic Moot story, because digital files can sometimes be bigger A-holes than people can.
This will be followed shortly by a new DCM Archive edition, THE COMPLETE MYSTIC MOOT AND HIS MAGIC SNOOT, featuring a new introduction including new materials and an interview with Monte Wolverton.
Hopefully before too late this week........
-
Wow! That's some Thanksgiving present!
Thanks very much Steve.
-
The big one goes first, THE COMPLETE MYSTIC MOOT AND HIS MAGIC SNOOT. And the little ones will follow.
Here goes nothin'!
-
On the other hand, if it's too damn big I'll have to do some resizing...
-
Hi Steve,
No need, it's just on the edge of being too big. Going up shortly along with the others.
-
Hi Steve,
I gave your Complete Moot collection a look - WOW, great job!
I hope everyone here will take a look as well.

-
I'm downloading it right now. Just in terms of getting us all the Mystic Moot stories, as paper scans... That's a major get for the site right there. Thank you so much!
Now if we could just find the last few targets we need for the complete Spacehawk me and Yoc have been hoping to put together for a while...
-
What a wonderful Wolverton collection!
Heartfelt ThankYou!
-
Downloaded for later. Thanks to all involved.
O-Eric, would love to have that Spacehawk collection. Not to mention the complete set of Target.
-
Glad it's appealing to all, thusfar. Those other Comic Comics go up today as time permits.
-
Have had a chance to read the collection now. The introduction is probably better than whatever even a professionally printed collection would have come up with.
erwin- we keep looking for those few Targets we still need; but they're decidedly tricky. 2 of the 3 issues I've been able to get from v1 are coverless. But they search goes on.
-
Re-upping Comic Comics #2 now. That technical issue with hitting the button twice should be noted on the upload page, specifically for nimrods such as myself. I'm surprised I haven't F'd up doing that previously.
Well I appreciate the kind words, Till & Eric. It won't buy me groceries but I'll take whatever goodwill I can get. :D
-
Thanks Steve, it's now up again.
-
Thank you, Yoc. You ought to take that other one down, being as it's a larger file of the same book I posted. And the files for the rest of #3 are just gone, hopeless, PFFFT, so we won't have a COMPLETE set of the title, just a complete set of front covers and Moot stories. Dammit. At least not from me.
-
Revised COMPLETE MYSTIC MOOT (corrections to the footnotes) going up now.
That old one can be removed (pleeeeease)
-
Done.
The new version will be going live in the next couple days gang.
-
Errrgghhhhhh... UPDATED and FINAL REVISED "COMPLETE MYSTIC MOOT AND HIS MAGIC SNOOT BY BASIL WOLVERTON" now schtuploading. Newly unearthed and rare Cover for this hard-to-find one-shot added, just to annoy you. Open wide!
-
Hehe, thanks Steve.
:)

Couldn't resist... Took Mr Goldenage's Yarko Collection Part 1 from CB+ and added a cover and 1p intro, given my apparent comic-book Magician Turban hang-up. Sad that he's only included the stories from WONDER and WONDERWORLD, but perhaps this will motivate him to add a part 3 with the stories from Samson and Blue Beetle (and maybe re-distribute the page counts of the 3 collections).
-
Perhaps even added assassination attempt upon me by Mr Goldenage. I'll keep my magic snoot armed and ready.
Dunno why these collections hadn't made it over to DCM, but the coverlessness and lack of a packaged "look" may have had something to do with it. I have no plans to do anything with the part 2, as the Eisner work is all that interests me.
