Hi,
Thanks Yoc, I've recently submitted Crime Does Not Pay, #93 to complete the current uploads of this title, and Prize issues of Justice Traps The Guilty #26, #31, #33, #40, #70, #71 and #77.
To come (when they arrive) are issues #62, #114, #135, #140 and #142, with updates to complete #57, #65 and #75 of Crime Does Not PAy.
Further issues of Crime and Punishment - #10 and #59 will be also added when I receive them.
Hope you like 'em!
Dave
-
Thanks for the uploads and the update Dave!
:D
-
Thanks, Dave. These Justice Traps the Guilty are very welcome as the GCD's indexes are sorely lacking for this title.
--Jim
-
Thanks Dave - look forward to reading those issues!
-
Hi All,
Crime & Punishment #10 plus #59 uploaded earlier today. ;D
Real downer as the copy of Crime Does Not Pay #75 sent to upgrade the existing scan missing the CF, is also missing its CF - wrong copy sent :'(
Correct item is being shipped, so it will eventually be upgraded but not as soon as I thought. :(
Other uploads will be made as soon as I can scan the books.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave for the recent uploads. It's really great seeing the crime comics of my "youth" :)
Ed
-
Just added your latest scans Dave.
Many thanks for all the work you have been doing on these Lev crime books.
:)
-
Still more from Dave -
- Crime Does Not Pay 135
- Crime Does Not Pay 114

- Crime Does Not Pay 065 (diff ver)-c2c
Thanks Dave!
-
Neat stuff, Dave! Keep up the crime!
-
Hi,
Many thanks for the kind comments, I've not long submitted the following:-
- Crime Does Not Pay #140
- Crime Does Not Pay #142
The following are on order and should arrive within the next week or so.
Hillman
Crime Detective Comics v3 #4
Real Clue Crime Stories v5 #6
Real Clue Crime Stories v5 #9
Trojan
Crime Smashers #9
Story Comics
Fight Against Crime #1
It will be about two weeks before the replacement Crime Does Not Pay #75 arrives which will be the final issue (at present) that I can get my hands on at a reasonable price, so the missing CF won't take long to add.
Dave
-
Thanks again for your updates and especially for all the scans Dave!
If you ever should need help with Photoshop work let me know.
-
Very Nice! Thanks for sharing!
-
Hi folks,
I've recently uploaded the following
Hillman
Crime Detective Comics v3 #4
Real Clue Crime Stories v5 #9
Trojan
Crime Smashers #9 missing pages to original upload with new front cover.
Story Comics

The Real Clue Crime Stories v5 #6 will be scanned later this week it might be Sunday before the job is finished.
Dave :)
-
Wow!
These are now up. Many thanks for all your work Dave!
:D
-
Hi,
Just uploaded - Real Clue Crime Stories v5 #6, after about 10 failed attempts, curse the duff internet connection!!
Dave
-
Congrats from a fellow scanning fellow...
;)
Great work you're doing. Enjoyed that FIGHT AGAINST CRIME especially.
Scanning old books can get addictive.
I'm at it for three years now... two years...?
See?
They'll have to drag me away from that machine...
-
It has gone live and available for downloading. I add my thanks (also a fellows scanner) for your persistent on this so we'd have it up for the downloading people. So thanks Dave, look forward to your next upload.
Geo
-
Many thanks for scanning and uploading these Dave!
:)
-
Thanks guys,
Just managed to add the update of Crime Does Not Pay #75 using the original file with added centrefold to preserve the JVJ index cards.
Still suffering with internet problems >:(
Good news - Captain Marvel jnr #13 and Marvel Family #64 on order to replace fiche copies ;D a departure from the crime comics.
Hoping that the connection problems improve before they arrive - not holding my breath though.
Dave
-
Thanks for the upgrade and updates!
If you ever need say a cover upgrade I can pull them from Heritage for you if you aren't registered with them.
-
Just uploaded a paper version of Quality's Feature Comics #61 I found whist browsing the Internet and comparing my downloded items with files found.
The file does not show any indication as to the original scanner or scanners, but I think that part may be some of the paper pages already in the fiche and paper copy already on site and have possibly been edited and reduced in quality.
If anyone knows of the original person or persons who produced the file please update the information on my upload or replace mine with the correct upload/information.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
Now up - I thought they were different but I will double check.
-Yoc
NOPE, they are different versions!
-
Another Internet find just uploaded - ACG's Lovelorn #39, small file, with close cropped borders, no indication as to the identity of the original scanner(s).
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, now up.
-
AT LAST - A FIND ON ARCHIVE.ORG!!!! :o
Just uploaded Narfstar's scan of Fawcett's Rocky Lane Western #45 which for some reason does not appear on site. I'd downloaded this in a bulk lot some time ago but only just got round to comparing the files with those on the DCM site.
I'd almost given up hope of a find that was PD.
Dave
PS: Just checked already on site at CB+, I wish I'd looked earlier it would have been sooo.. much better for my sanity.
-
Thanks for all your hard work Dave! Going up now.
-
New uploads of Fawcett's Captain Midnight #37 and #57 just completed, there's severe damage to pages 13 and 14 in issue 37 where the illustrations of a Japenese plane have been cut out.
I'm hoping that the Captain Marvel jr #13 and the Marvel Family may arrive tomorrow as they were sent at the same time, but knowing my luck will be delayed.
Dave
-
Now up!
Thanks again Dave
:)
-
Captain Marvel Jr. #13 and Marvel Family #64 completed and uploaded.
Dave
-
Now up! Thanks again Dave.
:)
-
Wow! Great work.
Don't overheat your scanning machine.
The lid of mine blew off just the other day.
Too much in use.
:D
-
Hi Folks - I'm back!
Just about to upload Star Publications All-Famous Police Cases #8, #10 & #12, back on the crime scene (ouch!).
Dave ;D
-
Nice!
Looking forward to them Dave.
Welcome back!
:)
-
Congrats on those Star books, always most welcome!
-
Just uploaded - All-Famous Police Cases #14
More Prize on it's way shortly! ;D
Dave
-
Now up!
Thanks Dave.
I sent you an email on the new Prize books.
-
Hi Everyboby,
Merry Christmas!!
A couple of items that seem to have slipped through the net - found on CB+
Charltons - Atomic Mouse v1 032 - book and raw scans from Narfstar, I've edited the raw version and uploaded the resulting item.
Also from Charlton, Billy the Kid #16 by GeneReed2014.
Dave
-
Thanks for adding these Dave.
Have a great Christmas!
-
Hi All,
Happy New Year!!
A further two items that were put on to CB+ by narf, but have not yet appeared here...
Harveys Mazie #17 & #19.
Dave
-
Now up though the site is not behaving atm.
The call for help has been sent out.
-Yoc
-
Ooops... :(
Sorry uploaded the wrong versions of Mazie #17 & #19, I've resubmitted the correct versions (I hope!).
Please can one of you nice Admin people with more knowledge of the system exchange the incorrect files with the new ones.
Thanks.
Dave
-
Done. I'll send you a Private Message on how to tweak your own uploads as well.
-Yoc
-
Hi All,
Been getting a little editing practice in, so here's an edited copy of
US Fighting Air Force #28
Original scans by Narfstar.
Ta.
Dave
-
Another Narf scanned book with edits by me, this one seems to have been overlooked for posting on the DCM site.
- Atomic Mouse v1 #16 (Charlton)
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, both are now up.
:)
-
Here's one from the John Sweet Collection, although announced here, it could be used as part of the current Prize spotlight, if so the description will need adjusting.
- Justice Traps The Guilty #36
Great scans as always from rangerhouse! - Thanks Brian.
Dave
-
Now up, thanks Dave!
:)
-
Another one from the John Sweet Collection...
- The Westerner #35 c2c.

-
And more to come!
;)
-
Yet more from the John Sweet Collection,
- Crime and Punishment #52 (Lev Gleason)
I found a slightly better cover on e-Bay, so that's included as well.
- US Fighting Air Force #8
- US Fighting Air Force #10
Both from Superior.
One in 3D (makes your eyes hurt don't they?)
- 3D Three Stooges #2 (St. John)
If anyone knows how to convert this to black and white format, please feel free.
Finally for today,
Cowpuncher nn
The Grand Comics Database lists this under Avon as a 'one-shot', it reprints Avon's Cow Punchers #2. So I've uploaded as an Avon issue.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
:)
-
Just completed and submitted,
- Fawcetts Funny Animals #26 (Fawcett)
- Mazie (and her Boyfriends) #24 (Harvey)

Dave
-
Thanks Dave, all of them are now up.
:)
-
Something new for me...
- Spirit Section 1945-09-09 (Philadelphia Record) a snattermann-flard scan & edit.
Now that I have more time, in between editing I'm looking through CD's / DVD's of comic related items I've bought in the past
(before finding the DCM) and this is an item I come across on a CD of Spirit related books and newspaper strips.
There were others of earlier dates not on site, but alas they were black and white 1973 reprints, so not allowed.
This one in color is OK, at first I was dubious because of the advert on page 16, but a later weeks section for 23 September already on site has an advert as well.
If I find others I'll share those as well.
Dave
-
Looks fine to me, It's up for everybody. Thank you!
Different newspapers did all sorts of things with the Spirit sections, we've got some that are 8 pagers when others were still doing 16; and in addition to subbing in an ad some ran a non-Eisner shop comic on the last page instead.
You are of course correct that the B&W reprints are not allowed.
-
Two from the John Sweet Collection,
- Life Story #26 (Fawcett).
- Complete Love Magazine v31 #2 (183) (Ace Comics)
As always - quality scans provided by rangerhouse.
Dave
-
Both are now up, thanks Dave!
-
Another from the John Sweet Collection,
- True Life Secrets #16 (Charlton).
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, as always.
Geo
sent from my iPad Mini
-
Not sure if this is the right place to note this, but the Justice traps the Guilty #45 scan has duplicates of two pages in the first Stein story.
Thanks, nevertheless...
-
Thanks Poz, I'm sure Dave will have a fix for us shortly.
-
Dave has added a fixed version of JTTG 45 as well as Young Romance 008 (no ifc).
Thanks Dave!
:)
-
Our Dave has been busy these days!
Recently new from him -
Monkeyshines Comics 013 [IW reprint] (diff ver)
Tell it to the Marines 004 (IW reprint)

Hot Rods and Racing Cars 012
Fightin Marines 032

Many thanks Dave!
:)
-
I've found a 'GM' copy of Bulletman#7 on comicbookplus.com uploaded by Aqualad1 way back in 2010 which is cover to cover,
but not on DCM.
So I've merged it with Craig Ede's incomplete copy already on site (and at CB+) to make a hybrid c2c copy until a
GM free book/scan can be found to replace it.
Dave
-
Good work Dave!
😃
-
Two from the John Sweet collection,
- Swift Arrow (1957) 002 (diff ver) (Ajax/Farrell)
- US Marines 005 (diff ver) (Magazine Enterprises)
Dave
-
Now up!
Thanks Dave.
-
A 'cheeky' one here chaps, with a small upgrade :D to....
- Captain Midnight 52
DM's latest post of #26 prompted me to search at archive.org - I must be mad!!!!
- but lo' an' behold they had the seven page 'Sergeant Twilight' story for this issue in paper (why not the full issue?), so with a few
tweaks to DM's fiche copy and new fc and bc from HA just to highlight the difference - a slight upgrade.
Dave
-
Thanks for tracking these down for us Dave.
I admit I almost never check on Archive.org. Odd, as it's surly a site I should be enjoying a lot but the art of finding things can be trying.
-Yoc
-
As things have been quiet I've had a go at updating prime's post of the Monster Society of Evil
now that paper copies of the instalments are available, okay, two pages are damaged and patched from fiche!
I've uploaded them into Captain Marvel Adventures as this looks as if it is where the existing files reside,
I'm not sure of the links that are held in the DCM Archives and Collections section.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
I'll take care of the links.
Updated all links and decided they belonged in the general Fawcett folder.
Old files now gone.
-
Hi Folks,
SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND!
For those of you that like Torchy from Quality Comics, I've put together all of her stories from Modern Comics #53
September 1946 through to Doll Man #47 October 1953, with cover art from her own title together with a few extras.
It comes in six parts totalling 667 pages, it was 666 but I quickly altered that!!! >:D
Amazingly out of the 90 source issues there are only 6 which are from or are part fiche, which I've attempted to make as good as possible.
Otherwise the scans and edits are untouched from the original files - thanks to all concerned for the original material.
Maybe one day it'll be all paper.
(Yoc / Admin - please feel free to tweak the descriptions or even the content as you feel fit).
All the best.
Dave
PS - I think it's all in the right order.
-
Done and now up!
Talk about a big task, thanks for sharing this Dave.
:D
-
A couple of items found at the Comic Books Archive site -
An upgrade to Feature Comics #41,
where the version found had paper ifc and ibc, so I've
added them to freddyfly's version and uploaded it.
A complete copy of Feature Comics #44,
the file size was small so I've resized them -
hopefully they look OK - can't tell too well on the laptop.
I'm not sure who the original scanner was, it could possibly be
freddyfly, so apologies if it was one of yours Len, but comparing it to
yours on site it looks as if it was 'tweaked' about some what.
Dave
-
Hi Dave,
Thanks for adding these!
I took a good look at your found #44 and figured Len's version was better but missing a lot. So I added fills from your version and created a c2c version of Len's.
I've moved your found version and Len's incomplete version to a safe place as back up.
-
One from Fawcett,
Nickel Comics #6.
A rangerhouse book and scans, from a coverless comic, so the fc and bc are from HA and the ifc and ibc
from ae660's fiche copy to make it c2c.
Dave.
-
A further offering, this time from Parents Magazine Institute -
True Comics #75.
Again a rangerhouse book and scans.
Dave
-
Both up, thanks very much Dave!
:)
-
Thanks Dave for all the Prize's "Young Romance" from RH's scans of JVJ's books. Thanks Guys.
Geo
-
Thanks again for your latest upload of Romance books, now up and live for downloading.
Geo
-
Thanks Dave for your latest upload to the site, US Marines 3 and 4.
Thanks again.
Geo
-
Thanks to Dave for another Young Romance edit. Now up.
-
Hi All,
I've managed to find a copy of....
Popular Comics 116 (Dell)
....on the Internet, the four page Felix the cat story has been removed,
so that it can be shared here.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
Hi,
Some Suzie comics from MLJ/Archie scanned by Kracalactaka, courtesy of Comic Book Plus:-
Suzie Comics #61
Suzie Comics #91
I've edited the files for size as the originals are over 100mb each, plus I've added an additional fc to each book.
Details of downloads of the original large scans have been included.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
Hi,
Two more Suzie comics from MLJ/Archie scanned and edited by Kracalactaka, courtesy of Comic Book Plus:-
Suzie Comics #95.
Suzie Comics #100 (Last issue).
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, both are now live.
:)
-
Coming up, a book from the JVJ collection.
Young Romance 051 (Prize)
Scans by Rangerhouse, scanned from a coverless book, fc from HA, ifc from e-Bay,
ibc and bc from Young Brides v1 #2.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave and gang for your work on them. Keep them coming.
Geo
-
Nice work Dave and congrats on the fills as well. We appreciate it.
-Yoc
-
Coming up, yet another book from the JVJ collection.
Young Romance 053 (Prize).
Scans by Rangerhouse, scanned from a coverless book, fc from e-Bay,
ifc, ibc and bc from Young Love v4 #11 (#41).
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, now up!
-
Here's more Prize romance issues from the JVJ collection, with scans by rangerhouse -
Young Romance #55
Young Romance #61
Young Romance #62
Young Romance #63
All the issues have taped outer wraps so additional fc's and bc's have been added
along with replacement ifc's and ibc's where the original is heavily taped.
Dave
-
Just by way of a change (not), more from the JVJ collection
and the red hot scanner of rangerhouse -
Young Romance #57.
Dave
-
Wow, many thanks Dave!
-
You're welcome!
Another couple coming along...
Young Romance 058.
Young Romance 059.
From books in the JVJ collection, with scans by Rangerhouse.
Issue #59 comes with an additional fc from Heritage.
Dave
-
Here's two courtesy of Kracalactaka and Comic Book Plus -
Romantic Adventures 045 (ACG).
Super Duck 011 (MLJ/Archie Comics)
Dave
-
Wonderful!
All of them are now up.
:)
-
Love is in the air! - or at least in uploads from over the pond.
Young Romance 046.
Young Romance 047.
Young Romance 048.
Young Romance 068 (diff ver).
Rangerhouse scans, from books in the JVJ collection.
Dave
-
Some more courtesy of Comic Book Plus and Originally uploaded by Kracalactaka.
First Love illustrated 060 (Harvey)
Suzie Comics 064 (MLJ/Archie)
Dave
-
Now up. Thanks for adding these new ones from CB+ as well!
-
Hi,
I've removed Suzie Comics 064, but have uploaded a fixed version, please can you do the necessary to add to the DCM - Thanks!
It looks as if Kracalactaka has added a cover from HA to a coverless book, but not renamed it from 'if' as most HA covers are named.
I didn't notice until it appeared 'live' at DCM as page order OK when viewed with CDisplayEx.
This should (I hope) show the cover and not the first page of the story.
Dave :D
-
Thanks Dave. That works fine.
Yeah, the Preview feature here is very picky about file names. That's why I always suggest numbering the files at the start.
-Yoc
-
Thanks Yoc!
-
Here's three more courtesy of Kracalactaka, (busy, busy, busy) and Comic Book Plus -
Love Experiences 006 (Ace).
Suzie Comics 076 (MLJ/Archie).
Suzie Comics 094 (MLJ/Archie).
Dave
-
Thanks again Dave!
-
Sorry.....
Similar problem as before with the naming of the books front cover, this time as 'a'.
Now renamed and a revised file version to correctly show the cover rather than
the ifc of Suzie Comics #76 is being uploaded.
I thought it was OK as #94 and Love Experiences #6 were fine so I didn't check - Doh! :-[
I'll double check Kracalactaka's file names in future.
So as before I've deleted the old version, please can you add this to DCM.
Ta.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
Turns out Krac included a modern reprint page inside Suzie 76 as well. I've removed the problem and uploaded it again.
That's a no-no on both sites for anyone thinking of uploading. Only scans from the original books only. Sorry.
Thanks again Dave.
:)
-
Here's more courtesy of Kracalactaka and Comic Book Plus -
First Love Illustrated 052 (Harvey).
Additional and original fc's renamed to correctly show on the DCM's preview feature.
Dave
-
Here's one from Rangerhouse's own collection and of course his scans:-
Popular Comics 054 (diff ver) (Dell).
It was scanned from a coverless book, so the fills for the
fc, ifc, ibc and bc come from the
Krankyboy/Rangerhouse/Yoc version on site to make
it c2c.
Dave
-
Both now up, thanks Dave!
-
Another book and scan from Rangerhouse -
Popular Comics 057 (diff ver) (Dell).
Scanned from a coverless and damaged book, fc, ifc, ibc and bc fills together with the patches
for the Dr Hormone story from the KaineZ uploaded version on site to make it c2c.
That's me done - time to go to bed for some beauty sleep an' boy do I need it!!
Dave
-
Thanks Dave for keeping at it.
Geo
-
More courtesy of Comic Book Plus and Kracalactaka.
Romantic Adventures 041 (ACG).
I've renamed the original fc so that it should appear in the correct order at DCM and added a smaller fc image
from the GCD so that it shows in the preview OK.
Dave
-
Thank you Dave, other copies are always welcome.
Geo
-
Some more courtesy of Comic Book Plus and Kracalactaka.
First Romance Magazine 037 (Harvey).
Again, I've renamed the original fc so that it should appear in the correct order at DCM and added a smaller fc image
from the GCD so that it shows in the preview OK.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, looking good.
Geo
-
Two more courtesy of Comic Book Plus and Kracalactaka, with help from comixcroz on the Suzie issue.
Suzie Comics 055. (MLJ/Archie) Small scans on this.
Love Journal 024 (Orbit).
Again, I've renamed the original fc and added a smaller fc for Love Journal so that they should appear in the correct order at DCM.
Can anyone please advise me if Romance Stories of True Love #51 published by Harvey
in September 1958 is OK for DCM, no issues on site and I'm not sure if it's PD.
If it is OK then I'll upload when given the go ahead.
Thanks.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, you can upload 'Romance Stories of True Love'.
-Yoc
-
Thanks for the clarification Yoc.
So, courtesy of Comic Book Plus with the original upload by Kracalactaka.
Romance Stories Of True Love 051 (Harvey).
As with previous items, the fc has been renamed and with a smaller version added to show correctly in the preview
feature.
Dave
-
Something else courtesy of Comic Book Plus and the prolific Kracalactaka.
Strange Mysteries 15 (IW) (diff ver).
The fc has been renamed and a smaller version has been added so that it appears OK in
the DCM preview feature.
Dave
-
Another Suzie courtesy of CB+, comixcroz (scans),
and Kracalactaka (edits and original upload).
Suzie Comics 062 (no ifc and ibc) MLJ/Archie.
Dave
-
Thank you Dave for the two last uploads.
Geo
-
Yet another book from Kracalactaka, courtesy of Comic Book Plus.
Suzie Comics 070 (inc) (MLJ/Archie).
It's missing pages #46 and #47, the first page of a Suzie story.
The front cover has been resized so that it appears correctly in the preview feature and the placeholder scans
for the two missing pages replaced in case of any copyright problems, erring on the side of caution.
Kracalactaka's original file can be found at -
http://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=58840
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, it's up live now.
Geo
-
More Suzie courtesy of CB+, comixcroz (scans),
and Kracalactaka (edits and original upload).
Suzie Comics 066 MLJ/Archie.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave.
-
Here's one from the JVJ collection,
Young Romance 071 (v7 #11) - Prize Comics.
As always scans by Rangerhouse.
Scanned from a coverless book, fills from-
fc - Grand Comics Database.
ifc, ibc anc bc - Young Brides #17 (v2 #11).
Dave
-
Thanks Dave.
Great work on this and TF's books.
-Yoc
-
A couple more from the mega collection of JVJ.
Young Romance 073 (v8 #1) and
Young Romance 075 (v8 #3) - Prize.
Scans by Rangerhouse (who else).
Dave
-
Just one more for today from JVJ's collection.
Young Romance 076 (v8 #4) - Prize.
Scans by Rangerhouse, scanned from a comic with heavily taped outer wraps,
the additional fc is from the GCD - even this was damaged, not able to find
any other cover scans. Just shows how scarce some books are.
The ifc, ibc and bc come from Young Love v6 #10 (#64).
BTW nice to see comicwanderer joining in with editing, the more the merrier!!
Dave
-
Thanks Guys, and yes welcome to the editing world comicwander.
Geo
-
Back on the softer side of editing, more romance :-* from the JVJ collection.
Young Romance 078 (v8 #6) - Prize.
Scans by Rangerhouse.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave and RH.
Geo
-
All of the following come courtesy of Comic Book Plus and more importantly
Kracalactaka - who has been very busy -
Glamorous Romances 052
Glamorous Romances 053 (Ace).
Both of these were scanned from a coverless book and are
missing the ifc, ibc and bc.
Suzie Comics 068 (inc - missing last page of the Katy Keene and 1st page of the text stories)
Suzie Comics 074
Suzie Comics 076 (now c2c)

A special rush request from Rangerhouse -
National Comics 026 (Quality).
From a book in the Rangerhouse collection and of course his quality scans (ouch!).
Nice scans on this one Brian, needed very little doing apart from the resizing.
This is from a coverless book, so the fills are from the following
fc from HA, ifc recreated using ifc from Smash Comics #36 and
doctored details from National Comics #28.
The ibc and bc come from Smash Comics #36.
Dave
-
Thanks guys!
:)
-
Some more from JVJ's collection,
Young Romance 081 (v9 #3),
Young Romance 082 (v9 #4) and
Young Romance 084 (v9 #6) (Prize).
All scans by Rangerhouse.
Issue 82 has heavily taped covers. The additional fc which is also damaged is from
the GCD, together with a merged version. No better fc found, another scarce issue?.
Replacements for the ifc, ibc and bc come from Young Love v7 #4.
Dave
-
Thanks Guys, looking great.
Geo
-
Here's something else....
Witchcraft 001 (diff ver) (Avon).
A Rangerhouse comic and scans.
Scanned from an incomplete book - fc provided by Rangerhouse.
Fills for pages 2, 3, 4 and 33 from Tiggers version on site and
pages 34, 35 and 36 from Michael Barnes' US Paratroops #2, to make
it c2c.
Dave
-
Nice work Dave!
-
Another one, sadly incomplete, but it fills a gap...
Movie Love 002 (inc) - Eastern Color Printing Co.
A Rangerhouse comic and scans,
Scanned from an incomplete book, missing two outer wraps.
The fc was provided by Rangerhouse, missing the ifc and two
pages of the first story together with pages 49 and 50, possibly
text pages.
Fills for the ibc and bc come from Heroic Comics #59.
Dave
-
Thanks Guys for your work on these.
Geo
-
Advised that the fills for Movie Love #2 may be incorrect, therefore a revised version is
being uploaded to replace the original.
Good news is that I've found a cheap low grade but complete copy, which means I can
provide the missing pages once it arrives ;D.
Dave
-
More from the JVJ collection.
Life Story 001,
Life Story 002 (Fawcett).
Both books scanned by Rangerhouse.
Dave
-
A strange one here from JVJ's collection...
Life Story 003 (Fawcett) - possibly incomplete?
Scans by Rangerhouse.
Unsure if this is incomplete as it's a 36 page book and all stories and features appear
to be OK, but #2 and #4 are 52 page issues. No help at the GCD.
Does anyone out there have another copy to confirm or deny that it's c2c?
Puzzled. :-/

I don't have a copy but the LoC does - I can check this one when I go there the next time (not for a couple weeks).
-
One I found amongst a collection of Charlton books from the Internet.
The Thing 013 (c2c) - Charlton.
No indication of who the originator was, possible Tiggers upload with
scanned missing pages, including the first page of the text story.
Dave
-
Two more I found amongst a collection of Charlton books from the Internet - Charlton books!! :-/.
Police Trap 17 (IW/Super Comics).
This reprints Prizes' Justice Traps the Guilty #83 (Oct-Nov 1956).
Police Trap 18 (IW/Super Comics).
A reprint of Inside Crime #3 - Fox.
Dave

An upgrade to an earlier upload...
Movie Love 002 (Eastern Color Printing Co.).
The original book and scans come from Rangerhouse,
I've added a new fc and fills for damaged or missing
pages to make the book complete.

With an additional fc from HA together with a replacement ifc

Dave - the LOC has a near full run of Life Story. If you come across bad covers/damaged pages/etc just let me know and I'd be more than happy to get the scans over to you to replace them. Just let me know (or let Yoc/Movielover know, and they'll tell me)
-
A final one for now from me, also from the JVJ collection,
Life Story 012 (Fawcett).
As normal, the scans are by Rangerhouse.
Dave
-
I've sent a PM to Soothsayr and asked if he can get me replacements
for pages 12 and 13 of Life Story #11 when he is at the LOC.
I'll update the posting of that issue if he comes up trumps.
Thanks again Sooth for your help. ;D
Dave

We'll be on the lookout for it Dave.

One that almost slipped through the upload process -
Popular Comics 015 (inc) (Dell).
Missing 3 outer wraps and 4 pages of the non PD Little Orphan Annie (which I removed),
52 of 68 pages.
Scans and edits by dsdaboss.
Dave
-
Thanks again for uploading this Dave.
:)
-
Yet another one that almost slipped through the upload process! -
Popular Comics 041 (upgrade - 60 paper, 5 fiche) (Dell).
This is also a dsdaboss scan and edits, with I assume the 5 fiche pages
coming from the Darkmark version.
I have removed the three page Tarzan text story before uploading,
these were also fiche copies.
Dave
-
Thanks again Dave!
-
Hi,
As it's Valentines Day here's a few romance books to get you in the mood
courtesy of JVJ and Rangerhouse...
Life Story 033, 038, 041, 043 and 046 (Fawcett).
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
Hi All,
Here's one from Rangerhouse's collection, with of course his scans...
Pocket Comics 02 (diff ver) (Harvey).
Due to an error during the print run, this book came with the outer cover to
Speed Comics #14 (poor RH thought this was the book he was getting :'(.)
instead of its own, so the fc and bc come from HA and the ifc and ibc from
the Bob K and Yoc version on site to make it c2c.
If this was a general fault with the issue where Speed Comics #14's cover
contained the pages of Pocket Comics #2 both 100 pages and cover dated
September 1941, it might explain why the issue of Speed Comics seems
harder to come by.
As a point of interest, when I downloaded the fc and bc I noticed that HA had
sold a pair of Speed Comics #14 and Pocket Comics #2 as one lot.
Wouldn't it be a disaster if you had won the auction to find that you had two copies
of Pocket Comics!!! >:(
Dave
-
Many thanks Dave for your very quick edit of this and for you detective work! I'd automatically assumed it was someone merging a coverless book with an incorrect cover but your idea is as plausible as any. The Heritage auction is an interesting aside.
:)
-
Just uploaded a version of a book originally scanned and edited for
one of the many JVJ romance projects, it's...
Young Brides v2 012 [#18] (Prize).
It was scanned by Rangerhouse, initialy edited by me from a JVJ coverless book,
at the time no fc could be found to make it complete.
A version has appeared on CB+ of the original comic but with an added front cover,
the posting there is from Kracalactaka/Eddie73.
I've also added a smaller version of the cover so that the book appears OK in the
preview feature.
ADMIN: - Please can you dump the original incomplete version in my name dated 3/3/15, I
think Yoc may have done the final tweaks/upload - Thanks.
Dave
-
Done.
Thanks Dave! I've only tweaked the entry to show it's now c2c for people not looking at the description.
Excellent job catching this over on CB+
-Yoc
-
Hey look!! - It's a blue moon :D
An actual book from me! -
Danger Is Our Business 09 (IW).
A reprint of Toby Press Inc. Danger Is Our Business #1.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave.
We've got a pattern forming here don't we?
;)
-
Two new uploads from me, with the scans being provided by rangerhouse.
Firstly, a comic kindly loaned to RH to scan by Mike Madrid -
Wilbur Comics 29 (MLJ / Archie).
and one from RH himself, the book was coverless and rather heavily damaged -
Big 3 Comics 004 (diff ver) (Fox).
The fc and bc for this come from HA, the ifc and ibc together with the patches
on each page are from the version posted by dsdaboss. The Blue Beetle radio
ad comes from Yoc's version of #3.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave and RH for those.
Geo
-
Coming up from me if I can get 'em uploaded -
Master Comics 070 (Fawcett)
Master Comics 127 (Fawcett).
Both new scans and ALL paper!
Dave
-
Both are up, thanks Dave!
-
Just uploaded four from the latest batch of JVJ's Fawcett books,
as always the scans are by Rangerhouse.
Romantic Secrets 015
Romantic Secrets 016
Romantic Secrets 017
Romantic Secrets 018.
Dave
-
Wow, thanks Dave!!
-
After much fun (not) >:(, eventually got the following uploaded.
All are from JVJ's Fawcett collection, the scans by Rangerhouse.
Ozzie and Babs 012 (diff ver),
Romantic Story 003,
Romantic Story 004 and
Romantic Story 005.
Dave
-
Wow, thanks Dave, you're doing great!
:D
-
Another four from JVJ's Fawcett boxes -
Romantic Secrets 012,
Romantic Secrets 013,
Romantic Story 001 (c2c) and
Romantic Story 002.
The first three have additional fc's from either the GCD or HA,
Romantic Secrets #13 had taped covers, so the ifc, ibc and bc
used come from #12 which carried the same ads.
The usual top-notch scans come from Rangerhouse!
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
If you need help finding cover fills let me or Kracalactaka know.
-Yoc
-
Some more from the Fawcett collection of JVJ and the scanner of Rangerhouse -
Romantic Secrets 019,
Romantic Secrets 020,
Romantic Secrets 021 and
Romantic Secrets 022.
Technically #19 is a different version as Kracalactaka has scanned a copy
which is posted to CB+ but not here.
Issue #20 has taped covers, so an additional fc from e-Bay is included and
replacements for the ifc from movielover's issue of Whiz #135, the ibc and bc
are from issue #21.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, you and the guys are doing a fantastic job with all of these new JVJ books!
:D
-
My Rom Secrets 19 over at CB+ was from a coverless book, just make things complicated I'm adding page fills from the JVJ book ;D
-
Some more from the JVJ vaults, with Rangerhouse scans -
Romantic Secrets #22.
This is a hybrid book, the majority of the story pages are scanned from an incomplete
and damaged book.
The fc comes from the GCD, ifc, ibc and bc from issue #23 to replace the heavily taped cover.
Story / text pages that were either missing or too damaged to use have been replaced / filled
with those from Narfstar's version. It makes this cover to cover with no damaged pages.
Thanks again to Yoc for his advice on this one!
Others uploaded -
Romantic Story 006, 007 and 008.
Issue #8 had taped covers so there's an additional fc from HA and
replacement ifc, ibc and bc from Romantic Secrets #12 which carried
the same ads.
All the books are from Fawcett.
Dave
-
Nicely done Dave, thanks for going the extra mile on these.
-Yoc
-
All part of the service!
For today a double dose of JVJ Fawcett goodies, scanned by Rangerhouse.
Romantic Story 009, 010, 011, 012, 014, 015, 016 (inc) and 017.
Issue #10 has a second cover from e-Bay with the ifc, ibc and bc having been replaced with
those from Romantic Secrets #17 as the originals are heavily taped.
Number 15 is now complete c2c, but #16 is incomplete, it's missing 2 centrefolds, 8 pages, the covers
were taped, so it comes with an additional fc from HA and replacement ifc, ibc and bc from
Exciting Romances #8.
Dave
-
All up, you all are doing amazing on these!
:D
-
Here is more of JVJ's Romantic Story issues from Fawcett, the scans as always from Rangerhouse -
Romantic Story 018, 019, 020, 021 and 022.
Dave
-
There up, thanks Guys.
Geo
-
Yet further romance titles from JVJ's Fawcett collection, this time it's -
Sweethearts 090, 092, 105 and 106.
All the scans are by Rangerhouse.
Issue #92 comes with an additional fc from HA, the ifc, ibc and bc
were heavily taped, so they are replaced with those from
Romantic Secrets #11, which carried the same ads.
Dave
-
Managed to squeeze out two more from JVJ's stash of Fawcett romance books -
Sweethearts 087 and 089.
The scans come from Rangerhouse.
These two are the last planned edits/uploads from me for a short while -
cos I'm taking the day off tomorrow (Friday) and if the weather forcast
is correct for the UK it's improved dry conditions for the weekend.
This means jobs around the house to do, mainly the dreaded gardening >:(
As usual with the mix of rain and sunshine it's all grown (note to self: either buy a goat
or astroturf it all!!).
Should be back towards the end of next week, subject to changes in the weather and/or
any editing which still needs to be done for the latest batch of books.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave and good luck with the garden.
Goats can be on the nasty side if you were at all serious.
-Yoc
-
Rain stopped play on the outside jobs today :-\ so......
Monte Hale Western 030 (inc).
This is one of JVJ's Fawcett books, it's coverless, the fc is from HA with
an additional signed fc and bc from e-Bay, no ifc or ibc.
I think possibly the ifc and ibc would be the same as those in
Real Western Hero #72 as all other ads match, as do those of the
previous issue of each title, but I'm not 100% sure.
Scans for this one by Rangerhouse.
The next ones up are Rangerhouse books and scans -
GI Sweethearts 035 (diff ver) - Quality.
Romantic Adventures 046 (ACG).
Dave
-
Thanks Dave.
:)
-
An upgrade to an existing book recently posted by Kracalactaka -
True Stories of Romance 03 (now c2c) (upgrade) -JVJ.
The fills for the two missing pages come from a Canadian version of the
comic published by the Anglo-American Publishing Company (08-1950)
which was 3 months after the cover date of the US version.
Lucky for us as it seems this may be the only issue published by them
according to the GCD. ;D
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
From me....
The Canadian version of True Stories of Romance 003 (Anglo-American Pub. Co.).

More from JVJ and Rangerhouse,
Barnyard Comics 003 [inc] (Pines).
This is missing two pages of the Filbert Fox story.
Sweethearts 079 [inc], 083 and 085 [diff ver] (Fawcett).
Issue #79 is missing the cf, but comes with an extra fc from HA.
Dave
-
Great work Dave.
:D
-
Some more Barnyard antics from the collection of JVJ and with Rangerhouse scans -
Barnyard Comics 005 and 008 (Pines).
Different versions to those already posted, both are c2c.
Dave
-
A different full c2c version of....
Suzie Comics 085 (MLJ / Archie).
.... just added, with the book (?) and definitely the scans coming from Kracalactaka.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, be on the lookout for your next book.
Geo
-
More comics and scans by Kracalactaka,
Hi-School Romance 006 (Harvey),
Real Life Comics 034 (BNSP).
The Hi-School Romance has a reformatted centerfold along with the original spread,
the Real Life Comics comes with additional fc, ibc and bc with a repaired version
of the ifc as the original outer wrap is damaged.
The fc and bc are from HA and the ibc comes from Thrilling Comics #20.
Dave
-
Nice work Dave, thanks for going the extra mile on them!
-Yoc
-
Unfortunately the gremlins got into the works with the Hi-School Romance >:D >:(.
But, thanks to Movielover spotting that page 23 was corrupt, a fixed version has been uploaded.
Looks as though there was a glitch when I created the zip file from the jpg pages and 23 failed to compress
correctly, fingers crossed all is now well!
Now to replace the other uploads.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave and Movielover for the catch on the problem and doing the fix, thanks Guys.
Geo
-
Back here again with some more JVJ Barnyard Comics -
Barnyard Comics 011, 015 (diff ver) and 017 (BNSP).
Issue #15 is cover to cover and #17 comes with an additional fc from e-Bay and also has
a JVJ index card.
Dave
-
That's Dave.
Geo
-
More Barnyard books from JVJ and Rangerhouse,
Barnyard Comics 021 (diff ver), 022 and 024 (BNSP).
Dave
-
Another four JVJ Barnyards just uploaded,
Barnyard Comics 025, 026, 027 (c2c) and 029 (BNSP).
All scans by Rangerhouse.
Issue #29 comes with an additional fc from HA.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
:)
-
Just found that I can upgrade a book I previous edited from the Titansfan collection.
Originally it was missing the centerfold. The book in question was -
Brides Romances #13 (Quality).
It was missing the last page of 'Too Young Too Marry' and the first three of 'Don't Marry A Dreamer'.
The latter story was originally printed in Heart Throbs #13 and luckily this was shared by Tigger, so I've used three fill pages to complete the story. Still missing the one page though.
Amended via my User CP function.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave. And I updated the upload date so it's now on the top of the latest uploads as well.
-Yoc
-
Something from me today, -
Famous Funnies #53 [No BR] (Dec 1938) - Eastern Color Printing Co.
Enjoy.
Dave
-
Thanks very much for the new scan Dave!
-
Three new versions of Wings Comics scanned by Sholmes-
Wings Comics 70, 74 and 81 (all different versions) - Fiction House.
Issue 70 was missing two pages, fills to make it c2c come from the freddyfly version on site.
Dave
-
Thanks Sholmes and Dave for these three Wings issues.
Geo
-
Something I found on the Internet -
Return of the Outlaw 006 (Toby/Minoan).
The original scanner/uploader is not known.
Another one off the wants list.
Dave
PS: I've renamed it as a cbz file as it wasn't showing in preview, seems OK now.
-
Thanks very much for finding this for us Dave.
:)
-
Hi Gang,
I'm still about (building work NOT going well), have managed to find a couple of items on the Internet -
First up a UK edition Marvel Family 064 (US#26), this was scanned & edited by Custer Beaton.
The second is a different version of Captain Easy 010 (BNSP) with undamaged pages, the scanner is unknown.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
Sorry to hear you are in the middle of another unpleasant reno.
Hang in there.
-Yoc
-
A found on the Internet item - one to knock off the 'not scanned' list of the database.
Dotty Dripple 002 - Magazine Enterprises 1946.
The file does not give any indication of the scanner or original uploader.
This is the last of the ME Dotty Dripple issues.
Dave
-
Thanks very much Dave.
:)
-
Hello Folks!
That nice Mr Yoc has been in touch -
He said he needed someone with a great mind for a simple task.... or was it someone with a simple mind for great task?
Besides which, he said if I'd do these edits, he'd let me have the negatives back and keep my name out of the press!!!
So, without further ado, here's some of your favourite magazines >:D
Polly Pigtails #4 (with extra fc from eBay)
Polly Pigtails #7
Polly Pigtails #8 (with extra fc from eBay)
Polly Pigtails #14 (no CF)
Polly Pigtails #16 (no CF)
Polly Pigtails #39 (diff edit). - all from Parents Magazine Institute.
The above come from Soothsayr's collection and the scans are by Rangerhouse.
Anyway, must go now, some nice chaps in white coats are here to take me away for a holiday.
Dave.
-
Back again, just slipped out from that comfortable padded room at the secure hotel...
Here's one of my solo efforts - Don Winslow of the Navy 037 (Fawcett).
It was scanned from a coverless book, the covers have been verified by way of an eBay sale, the replacements for the missing pages come from the late pabax's scans of Captain Marvel Adventures 64, the fc and bc are from HA.
Dave
-
Wow, thanks very much for the very fast turnaround on these Dave!
And for a new scan of one of your own books as well.
:D
-
A couple of Kerry Drake issues, scanned from coverless books.
Kerry Drake Detective Cases 019 and 026 (Harvey), both are missing the ifc and ibc, unable at the moment to
determine the correct ones to provide fills.
The fc's are from Ha and the bc's are from e-Bay listings.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
Love Kerry Drake!
-
Hello Folks,
Here's an Internet find, originally scanned and uploaded by ABPC.
Commander Battle and the Atomic Sub 004 (ACG - Jan-Feb 1955).
I've added an additional fc from HA.
I think this completes the series.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
Another Internet find, not sure why this one slipped the net (ouch!), as it's a JVJ book and is a larger scan than currently on the DCM.
Scanned by Jon (thescanner) and edited by LoftyPilot.
Black Diamond Western 028 - Nov 1951 (Lev Gleason).
I've moved the JVJ index card to the back of the file.
Dave
-
Thanks very much for finding this for us Dave.
It's a real mystery how it didn't end up on the site when it was done!
-
Here's one from me,
Crime and Punishment 044 - Nov. 1951 - Lev Gleason.
Enjoy.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-Yoc
-
Nice to have you back ;D, and with thanks to Captain DJ for the quick fix, uploading as I type -
Crime and Punishment #69 - Lev Gleason / Comic House November 1954.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
:D
-
Hi Folks,
Just uploaded a different and complete version of -
Crime and Punishment #24 - Lev Gleason (03-1950).
Coming as soon as I can get to scan and edit it, will be #10, but this time the full 52 page US version, my previous effort on this
was the 36 page Canadian edition. ;D
Dave
-
Thanks very much Dave!
:D
-
Here's the U.S. version of...
Crime and Punishment #10 - Lev Gleason (Jan 1949).
The previous one I uploaded sometime ago was the 36 page Canadian version.
This one has some printing problems along with the dreaded 'Spine Roll', so a couple of pages are a bit fuzzy at the edges.
I've moved the Canadian version to the Canadian comics section.

Thank you Dave for all your work on them. I've had some with the same problem so I know what your talking about. Had to remove the staple to get it to lay flat and get the whole page to be scanned.

:D
-
Just uploaded -
Justice Traps the Guilty #55 - Prize - October 1953.
Hope you like this one, it's caused me grief today. The Border Force part of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs decided in their infinite wisdom to charge me VAT on the cost of the book and postage, which added to the handling charge made by the Post Office added another £14.44 to the cost >:(
Yet, according to their own web information, it appears to be zero rated being a printed periodical, well that's what I used last time.
Plus I had to go to the sorting office to collect it and pay up. :'( :'(
Good news is I expect to claw the full £14.44 back from them eventually ^-^, took me another hour to complete the form and print out the eBay and Paypal pages as proof of purchase, cost and type of item.
Anyway enjoy!!!
Dave
-
Thanks for your latest upload Dave and good luck with getting back the VAT on the purchase.
- Geo
-
Sorry for all your troubles Dave but we all appreciate your addition to the site!
GL getting your money back.

Geo

Hi All, here's another one from Titansfan, me and Yoc, who very kindly fixed and edited the front cover.
Hopalong Cassidy 043 (05-1950) Fawcett.
There's more to come, but at present, not sure when.
If anyone would like to copy this issue of Hopalong to CB+, they'd help me out big time and I'd be most grateful.
Hope to be back editing shortly.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-

This version is complete c2c.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
Two more just uploaded, first up -
Whiz Comics 004 (May 1940) Fawcett (paper + 21 fiche).
A Rangerhouse book and paper scans from a damaged and incomplete copy, fills and patches from Darkmark's fiche copy and his Slam Bang #3 for the fiche ibc.
Front and back covers are from HA, the first page of the Capt. Marvel story (paper) was found on the Internet in an alternative fiche scan, details of the source of this paricular scan is unknown.
Secondly, from Titansfan and myself -
Tom Mix Western 028 (April 1950) Fawcett (diff ver) - c2c.
Dave
-
Thanks very much RH and Dave! More early Fawcett to come!
-
A couple more Fawcett titles from Titansfan and myself.
Rocky Lane Western 032 (Dec 1951) - diff ver.
Western Hero 089 (Apr 1950) - diff ver.
Dave
-
One from Titansfan that I didn't know I got, thanks for the prod MovieLover / Yoc ::)
Hopalong Cassidy 60 (diff ver) c2c October 1951 - Fawcett.
Titansfan scan, my edits.
Dave
-
Two more from the latest batch of Titansfan scans,
Goofy Comics 45 September 1951
Happy Comics 39 October 1950 (U.S. version).
Both are Standard - Pines books.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
:)
-
Another couple from Titansfan and myself -
Supermouse 13 (June 1951)
Television Comics 6 (May 1950)
Both are Standard Pine books.
Although the cover of the Television Comics book shows #2, the indicia gives the correct details as #6.
Dave
-
Thanks very much Dave, these help on a sad day like this.
-Yoc
-
Just uploaded two Internet finds. No details as regards the scanner found.
Boy Comics 27 (April 1946) and
Boy Comics 39 (April 1948) - Lev Gleason.
There's a slight possibility there may be more, I've still another six to check out when I can get access to the website. ;)
Dave
-
Thanks for your detective work finding these Dave!
-Yoc
-
Three more found on the Internet.
Boy Comics 52 (April 1950)
Boy Comics 60 (December 1950)
Boy Comics 62 (February 1951).
All are Lev Gleason books.
This time they're all re-edits, the only detail known is that #52 was scanned and originally uploaded by JonTheScanner. All other details as regards the three files are unknown.
Dave
-
Thanks again for finding these Dave.
Whomever did them straightened the originals, cropped them tighter and did some cleaning.
-Yoc
-
Just uploaded a different complete version of -
Crime Does Not Pay 116 - Lev Gleason, November 1952.
Dave.
-
Thanks again Dave
:D
-
More Internet finds, different versions of comics already on site.
Samson 14 - Ajax Farrell, missing the ifc, ibc, bc - August 1955.
Using X-ray vision, well reverse reading on the front cover, fills for the missing pages can be obtained from Vooda #22.
America's Funniest Comics 01 [nn] 1944 c2c
Wm H Wise & Co, but filed under the Better Nedor Standard Pines heading.
Supermouse 001, 037 and 043.
Again BNSP books, issue #43 has undamaged story pages, but the same patched front cover.
Dave
-
Just added to the site
Crime Does Not Pay 117 - Lev Gleason December 1952.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
Another Internet find, looks as if it might come from our favourite unknown scanner, this time it's
Daffy Tunes Comics #12 - Four Star Publications (Ajax Farrell) August 1947
You may wish to move the file to the miscellaneous section, although I've uploaded it to the named section on site, the GCD say this is a 'one-off' issue, the numbering following Captain Flight #11 and preceding Brenda Starr #13.
Dave
-
:)
Thanks Dave. If you know it's an Ajax one-shot you've put it in the right spot.
-
Three more recent Internet finds just added to the collection. In all three cases the scanner is unknown, although the issue of Dear Heart seems to be the work of our regular John/Joan Doe.
Dear Heart 16 - Ajax Farrell - September 1956 (missing the ifc and ibc).
The Lone Rider 23 - Ajax Farrell - December 1954 (diff ver c2c).
The Lone Rider 24 - Ajax Farrell - March 1955 (diff ver c2c).
What amazes me is that the two Lone Rider book scans are almost 15 years old, I'm surprised no-one has picked up on them previously. :-/
Dave
-
Thanks again Detective Dave!
;)
-
More finds from the dusty corners of the Internet, the first one from the late Bumblebee-Man, the remainder are from unknown scanners.
The Following are IW/Super reprints
Battle Stories 11 - reprints U.S. Paratroops #5 Avon October 1952.

Dave
-
Wow, great works Dave, thanks for finding them!
-Yoc
-
Just the one today, another find on the Internet and a follow-up to the other recent postings.
Dotty Dripple 24 - Harvey June 1952.
The fc/ifc has had the top half cut and there is a missing panel cut from page 3/4. Fills for the ifc and pages 3/4 have been added, although the replacement panel on page three, from an eBay ad is blurred a little as it was photographed at an angle rather than scanned.
Dave
-
Thanks Dave!
-
Two items just added, firstly one from me -
Swift Arrow's Gunfighters 004 - Ajax-Farrell November 1957,
and an Internet find of -
Cave Girl 14 [A-1 #125] (diff ver) - Magazine Enterprises 1954.

Daredevil Comics 19 - diff ver. - Lev Gleason October 1943.
Dave
-
Today, there's an updated version of
Gabby Hayes Western 29 - Fawcett - April 1951.
The original scan was missing two pages which were filled by those from Narfstar's version, titansfan has now scanned the pages and it now makes the issue fully titansfan scans.
***Admin, please can you remove the older version, it doesn't appear to be in my CP scan listings - Thanks.***
Dave
-
Thanks Dave, the old one is now gone.
-
Another upload from me

c2c.
Dave
-
Looks great Dave, thanks!
-Yoc
-
Thanks for the tip about "missing pages" on the download files Yoc.
Daredevil Comics 21 now updated with the 'missing' pages added to make the issue 100% Titansfan scans.
Dave
-
Thanks again Dave!
-
A couple from Titansfan - scans and myself - edits.
Happy Comics 006 - October 1944 and Happy Comics 007 - January 1945 (Nedor-Pines).
Dave
-
Very nice!
Thanks Dave.
-
From a Rangerhouse book and scan, here's a different version of
Lady Luck 87 - Quality - February 1950.
It's an incomplete copy, damaged and wrinkled, so the FC, with a copy of the printers proof comes from HA, page two is torn and worn.
Page two, as an extra and pages 15 to 22, along with a back page from Police Comics #98 are Henry Peters scans and edits, which now makes it complete.
Dave
-
Thanks for all the extra work on this one Dave. :)
-

This time it's correctly numbered and with the right covers.

Just uploaded, a rangerhouse book and scans -
G.I. Jane 011 - Merit (Story Group) - March 1955.
Scanned from a comic missing the front cover. The fc comes from HA and the recreation of the ifc is based upon a partial scan from eBay.
Although the issue is dated March 1954, the GCD confirms the correct date should be March 1955.
Dave
PS; Had problems with the GCD ID, although I copied and pasted directly from their site, the information shown was displaying that of Dracula #1 from Dell/Western.
I've therefore deleted by original upload and started again, omitting the GCD ID, as no matter what I tried in the CP function, I couldn't remove it.
-
Thanks Dave!
I tweaked it a bit. I decided it might as well go with the Stanhall issues with (Merrit) in the name.
I'm not sure why the GCD # wouldn't work for you but no fear, I can always add or change it on my end.
I'll give GI Jane her own folder shortly.
-Yoc
-
Had me baffled, but it doesn't take much!
Thanks, Yoc.
-
Another G.I. Jane issue from the rangerhouse collection. -
G.I. Jane 010 - missing ifc + ibc (Stanhall) December 1954.
Scans by rangerhouse, from a coverless comic, the front cover is from HA, the rear from eBay.
Dave
P.S. Got the GCD link right this time! :D
-
Thanks Dave!
Glad the GCD link worked.
