When uploading it would be nice to have a bigger window for all the titles when you are selecting which folder to upload into. ATM the window is so small I sometimes get a headache squinting to read the six or 7 titles in the window. ;) Also would it be possible to have a folder for each title, instead of alot of loose scans in the parent folder? For example there are two Romance titles in the Charlton parent folder, In Love and Intimate. In Love only had 2 issues in the series and Intimate had 3. Noticed that some of the folders aren't in alphabetical order either. ;)

Hi Fett,
When uploading if you click inside the box with the publishers name and then then type the first letter of the publisher as listed on GAC, 'C' and keep hitting it you will eventually be presented with Charlton. Then you can find the title.
In an effort to have not so many title folder we thought the cutoff would be 5 issues. One-shots fit nicely in the parents folder. More than 5 issues deserve a folder of their own. This might change but that's how I used to do it on GAC. All the extra folder made it hard to find the right place when, as you noticed, you can only see 7 titles at one time.
I like your suggestion but that might be in the original code. I expect it is.

:o
Holy Crap that was fast!!
(I bet the sort order would be harder to fix though right?)
Thanks Very Much Cap!
^-^

How you want it sorted?
-
Can it just mirror the order as it shows in RW under 'Order Categories'?
If we change the order or add a new publisher or title the list in the Upload Page automatically updates?
I'm sure this one is a bigger request than the other but it's one that Aussie and I have wished we had for ages.
Wonderful work Cap!

Maybe it's just me, but I think the 5 issue cut-off should be a loose guideline, not hard and fast. There's already some looseness in that we have zero-book categories just to show we can't take certain titles. And some high profile books might deserve their own sections, even if they are short runs.
I'm thinking here of the Ajax Phantom Lady as something I think probably deserves its own folder, as an example. It's probably the highest profile Ajax book; and since it's the drawing card image we have for the publisher we should probably have it flagged once you go to the subfolder. That's just my thinking, though: What do others think?
Oh, and the bigger upload window is NICE to have!

Wow that was fast. Much appreciated. :o In regards to the smaller series perhaps a message directing them to the parent folder. I know when I first started I just looked at the titles in the main window to the right without even thinking to click on the publisher folder itself for scans.

Taken me 3 hours (including food/drink break) but I think I have done it. Let me know if this what you want? and if it even works...

Very impressive how quickly things are taken care of here. You folks don't mess around. O0

It mainly because the admin team handles different areas each.
I don't handle users or comics, mainly just coding and server side while others handle comics/forum/research.
I'm new to this site so still picking up how the code works since Zog invited me here but picking it up pretty fast reason fixes/features coming out pretty quick.
-
Wow, you mean you have more than one person to handle things? That's a great idea! 8)
-
Er...
I don't do much, if anything
;D
I just ask other people.
I'm on the moronic side of technical moron.
-
It's called "delegating". ;D

Zog does keep me busy and makes sure I finish the jobs I start. It easier to quickly do a job than have Zog on your back :)

Actually we do not have a 5 issue cut off, it is just that some sections were set up earlier than others and usually the later sections were set up with categlories for all the titles we believe they published. The idea is eventually to have categories for all the title so if one is not PD we can indicate not to upload it, or if one issue in a title is not PD we can note that as well as all the usual info on the run itself.
-
True, but one-shot issues that ARE PD scans need not have their own folder as any info on them can be read in the description of the title.
I think the five issue limit is a reasonable one for titles without any PD status concerns.
