Hi Gang,
I want to present the latest DCM member designed banner from Eric Williams and myself.  I helped with the rockets and final face and the animation.
This is Eric's second banner for DCM.  His first was the 'So many comics' banner we used again during the FTP offering last May as seen at the top of this topic. (http://tinyurl.com/jql6hwq)

Hehehe, ok, maybe the odd rocket wouldn't hurt.

Right, I meant to include the source info as well.

Eric used two panels from Charlton's Space Adventures 01 pg31.
I used the rockets, moon and a generic space scape for the background from the same book.

The 'genius' father with finger at the end is from Charlton's Space Adventures 03 pg28

The little Wolverton alien in the DCM logo at the end is from Centaur's Amazing Mystery Funnies 22 pg15

I had a feeling you might CB.  :)

I quite enjoy that this banner, much like our annual Christmas Mice banner tells a story.
I think Eric and I work pretty good together.

Funny you should ask Mark.  Eric and I had the exact same exchange.

From Eric:
The font is Silver Age (http://www.blambot.com/font_silverage.shtml) by Blambot. They have a lot of great comic fonts, but Silver Age is the only one that has the old style look that I love. It's a paid font ($30).
