With Pinhead & Foodini we're going back. From 1948 to 1951 this puppet show aired live at 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday from August 23, 1948, to June 23, 1951. Wonder what it was like? A handful of kinescopes exist & if you head over to 'Youtube' do a search for 'Foodini The Great' and an early episode is there for viewing. There's also a 1947 clip from 'Howdy Doody'. You're not afraid of clowns, are you?

I didn't like the TV show very much. "Howdy Doody" was better, but I didn't like that all that much, either. Funny that I liked both their comic books much better than the TV shows. I never liked puppets much as a little kid. I am missing only one of the 8 Foodini comic books, - Consolidated's "The Great Foodini" #1, from 1951. I have about half its pages. I have #s 2-4 in good condition, plus all 4 "Pinhead & Foodini" issues in good nick.
