Title: Harvey's 6 issue Steve Canyon from 1948?

Is the subject book in the PD?  I don't see it on the "needs to be scanned" list, but there're other Harvey titles there.  I got a good deal on #4 at a local antique store this morning and I couldn't pass it up!

Don't have time to check, just now, but there's always a worry with licensed properties that the stories may be reprinted or adapted from an earlier, copyrighted works.  And if it comes from comic strips (as Steve does, so stories might), then the copyrights are a needle in a haystack kind of search.
