Comic Name: Woman Outlaws nn (MS Dist.) (70.62 MB)
Description: M.S. Distribution published just seven comics. All Fox reprints.
This one is a reprint of Fox's 'Cody of the Pony Express' #1 (September 1950) and is missing the splash page. That missing page has been included at the end as an extra.
There's a fun ad for '15 comics for $1' at the end of the book that is repeated the following page. Talk about a good deal!

This issue features precisely zero Women Outlaws. Oh, well. Also, not the first time a Fox reprint lost its first page because of Fox's practice of printing the splash page on the inside front cover.

How, if at all, was D.S. Distribution related to D. S. Publishing? I see nothing in this comic that says it's D.S. anything actually.

Except, of course, the cover, which is a reprint of Women Outlaws #7. Also, it's M.S. Distributing, who reprinted 7 assorted Fox comics in the early 1950's (according to the GCD).

We're taking the GCD folks at their word on M.S. Distribution. As you can see there's zero indication of the publisher on the book itself. The GCD entry for M.S. is sparse on details.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask GCD why they've identified the publishers/distributors of these titles as M.S. Dist. Maybe if we had a copy of every comic in the batch, there would be some info. On the other hand, it _does_ give us a way to organize the titles until something better comes along.
