Title: Year ID for new uploads?
Post by: boox909 on November 07, 2012, 11:57:53 AM
Hey gang!  ;D

It occurred to me how nice it would be if I could click a button on the download site and see all of the titles from say --- 1941, put out by a particular publisher ... perhaps even a reading guide (someone once read the MLJ books in order of publication).

Just thinking out loud.

Regards,
Chris

Tags on uploads perhaps using GCD data is something that has been talked about but a reading guide would depend totally on a volunteer submitting something.  We would love to host such any guides if people out there have something written down.

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but Mike's Amazing World of Comics has a feature where you can look at covers put out during a given month & year (it will also how them by cover date so be careful you've got the right setting).

http://www.dcindexes.com/timemachine/

You can select it to look at all publishers or some specific companies (so far DC, Marvel, Archie, Charlton, Dell, Gold Key, Harvey, Dark Horse & Image).

Thanks for this, sir! I'd not known of it before.

You're welcome.

It's a fun little feature.
