Nice ad.  I'd still like to hear from someone who has actually used it.

I did a review of their more expensive model.
http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,8365.msg65296.html#msg65296

When I did a product comparison from this manufacturer, I felt that CZUR Aura looked like a budget version of the one I bought.
I need to reconnect the one I bought to a different computer than I had it connected to prior. It was stuck in the corner of the room and it really needed a spot where I could stand in front of it without other things being in my way. Mine has a foot pedal which is nice, but I didn't connect it.
The flattening software wasn't performing up to my expectations, but when I hook it up again, I test drive that feature more. I can't imagine the software for The CZUR Aura being any better than their more expensive model. I think the software on mine updated as soon as I installed it. I think mine is really cool, but I was underwhelmed.

Thanks D, let us know how your tests go once you've moved it.
Good flattening software would be a big reason for me to buy it or not.

Some of the imaging posted on this site is mind-blowingly awesome! Since I'm a quality inspector for a living, many people would drop their jaw to hear me praise anything. I'd like to see the equipment used by some members here and the techniques they used to get those results. I do not believe it possible for CZUR Aura to achieve that quality.

I'm still looking for techniques to achieve high quality images of foil enhanced covers. I have not tried polarized filters or any other light manipulating methods that my mind has entertained. Perhaps one day I will allocate more time to experiment on such things. I did come up with manual methods to stitch images together and make one continuous image out of two separate images that overlap. My golden age EC art was too big for my A3 scanner so I was overjoyed when I was able to scan it in three passes and stitch it into one image.
