Most unusual place you found a comic book!
bminor:
Back in the 70's I went to a garage sale in my home town.
Bought some comic books just a few a dozen or so maybe.
Bunch of the normal stuff, Archies, etc.
Got home and was going through them.
Opened the Archie,
Inside was a coverless X-Men #2!
Someone had put an Archie cover over it!
Still have it in my collection to this day.
Yours,
B

That's a very cool story Brian!
Nothing interesting this way has happened to me.

In the 90's I found some Silver-Age Marvel comics in a used record store.
The store was really small and the comics were in a small box on the floor.
I got a Tales To Astonish #37 and an Amazing Adult Fantasy #7 for $3 a piece.
Unfortunately, I got greedy and sold the Amazing Adult Fantasy for over $100. :(
Yoc:
Wow, that's a nice return on your $3!
And you'll find a scan of it out there if you dig a little. It might have even been reprinted by Marvel at some point.

Yeah. I've seen a few sites listing unauthorized copyrighted material up into the modern releases. Eventually, I may replace the comic itself. I've got several other issues from the series including the popular last issue where they dropped the word "adult". I'm trying to fill in what I'm missing from Tales to Astonish. I need about 25% of that run, but I'm a cheapskate. I'm targeting the VG/Fine range on a budget. A Jeffrey Lindsey asked me on Facebook if I knew of you. I can't remember why. It stemmed from discussions about my EC comics checklist online.
