Yep, I've used Mike's site a few times but I generally have more luck using GCD's cover gallery view for any title and looking for a similar cover as in the photos.

Yeah, I like the GCD, especially the way you can see a bigger version of the cover, but sometimes if you don't have enough of a title to do a search with it can be hard to figure out except by guesswork. Mike's helps me narrow down possibilities.

Was watching "The Good Humor Man", 1950 Jack Carson.
Here are a couple of shot of him reading a Captain Marvel comic book!
He is about to enter the inner sanctum of the Captain Marvel Club headquarters!
The inside of this clubhouse is plastered with lots of memorabilia of the Big Red Cheese!
All the kids have a Captain Marvel cape, Jack Carson being one of them as they recite the Captain Marvel club pledge!!!
Search for The Good Humor Man on youtube to catch this comic book goodness!!!

I've heard of the movie but wasn't aware of the heavy comics connection it sounds like it has.
