Yoc: Notes I have on this one-
One boy's dream is to be surrounded by comics and he gets to pick whatever he wants in a Taylor street bookstore in 1946. On top of his stack is:
Detective Comics #104 (October 1945)
Unknown book in his other hand.

Funny Stuff #7 (Winter 1945) is on the top of another pile.

erwin-k:
Nice finds, Geo.

Just look at the comics above the dealer's head above the caption "Store/news stand in the 1940's"

The first issue of World's Best(Finest) Comics, followed by Superman, Action Comics, All-Star Comics, Master Comics with both Bulletman & Bulletgirl on the cover. (That should be easy to identify.) Not to mention an early Blue Beetle issue.

Somebody, please, loan me a vintage dollar bill, and a time machine!

Yoc:
Most of Geo's newest batch I've called 'Classics' and will be sharing with full annotations of what is in them as well as some more alternate pics for the Pop's Bailey newsstand.
