I got a copy of that Rue Morgue book in today. It's really nice. Matte pages and full color. It mostly covers modern stuff, and it dedicates as many pages to Warren/Eerie mags as it does GA and pulps, but it was worth the $8 I paid for it.

Ghastly Terror!: The Horrible Story of the Horror Comics at cover price while browsing around my local comics store this morning. The last ~30 pages cover bronze to modern, while the rest is split between GA and Waren/Eerie/Skywald stuff. There's a list of all pre-code horror books in the back by publisher, and even an appendix with a copy of the Comics Code. Pictures on nearly every page, but it's all black and white. I haven't started reading but it looks like a really nice book.

Weird Ghastly Horror : Forbidden Horror Comics of The 1950s. I can't find much info and it's stupid expensive, but I added it to my list, and thought I would mention it here.
